Grade move for the Red Sox, obviously, that gives them another great hitter alongside Ramirez, Garciaparra, and Damon. Odd to see the Expos give up on Floyd so soon. I do think the Yanks buy their WS but do has virtually every WS winner forever. It's not like we're not trying to get a WS win here. I wish we got Colon, but Floyd helps behind Manny. Besides, they never lost to a severely inferior team. And Greg Maddux isn't a superstar? Between him, Glavine, Smoltz, Sheffield, and the two Joneses, and you have 6 guys with at least a moderate chance of making the Hall. And I don't know about anyone else, but the LAST thing I need to see is the Mets in the playoffs again. Not because I hate the Mets, but because of all the media bullshit that accompanies them. I think the playoffs will look like this: East: Sox or Yanks, depending on injuries to Yanks (whether their starters and closer can come back healthy) Central: Twins West: Mariners WC: Sox or Yanks, the west will kill each other off.
