Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Kind of an offshoot of the vacation topic, what are your favorite parks and rides? Me, I'd say: 1) Disney World (naturally) just because of the atmosphere, it's like you go into another country or something. My favorite ride probably would be the Tower of Terror at Disney-MGM 2) Six Flags New England, the Superman Ride of Steel is just crazy. 3) Busch Gardens: Williamsburg, Alpengeist is probably the best coaster I've ever ridden. I would love to go to Cedar Point sometime.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 31, 2002 I prefer water parks over Rollercoaster deals, so I would say, Si Flags:Hurricane Harbor in California, and Wildwater Kingdom, next to Dorney Park dont forget the Universial Studios
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted July 31, 2002 The only amusement parks I've been to are Calaway Park in Calgary, Alberta, and West Edmonton Mall's amusement park in Edmonton, Alberta. I have always wanted to go to Disney World.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted July 31, 2002 I used to go to Six Flags: New England when it was Riverside. I thought it was great then, albeit small. But that's just about all Amusement Parks in Western CT. There's this place in New Jersey called Action Park that's really fun, haven't been there in ages, but it was always a family favorite. My favorite memory was flying off the alpine ride and busted up my chin pretty bad

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Hmm.. Ive been to: Hershey Park in Hershey PA - great place, some really cool new rides, although there are more kiddie rides than coasters. Its cool cause you can ride all the coasters in one day. This was the first park that I ever went to (back in 1998, so I haven't been a coaster freek for long) and the first coaster I rode was the Superduperlooper. Six Flags America in Maryland - Place used to be called Wild World and was mostly a waterpark. Since Six Flags took over a few years ago, they've added a bazillion new rides. My 2 personal favorites are The Batwing (you are in a seat that lays back and then all of sudden the seat is above you and the only thing holding you in the seat is the straps), Superman : Ride of Steel (Awesome steel coaster with speed and airtime, a lot of the 6 Flags have the same ride) I've been here twice, but I enjoyed the place the most back in May when I went because it rained and there were NO lines for any of the coasters so I got to ride them all, plus they all turned into really cool water rides... Kings Dominionin Virginia - Lots of insane rollercoasters. I stood in line 3 hours for Volcano the Blast Coaster (which is on Mick Foley's list of favorite roller coasters in his 2nd book) and it was great, but a bit disapointing after the long wait. They also had the Hypersonic XLC which was broken last year when I went, but I hear its awesome this year.. Im making it a Personal goal to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain in California (they have so many awesome coasters; Deja Vu and the X especially though), as well as go to Cedar Point in Ohio for Millenium Force

Guest Still Fly Report post Posted August 1, 2002 These are all in Southern Cali.... Six Flags Magic Mountain- Now the extreme park! Ha. Good rides. And funnel cakes. Yum. Knotts Berry Farm- Used to be...a berry farm. The best ride is that ride is Supreme Scream. Its I pretty high free fall and you can see all of Anehiem. Plus...more funnel cakes. Disneyland- Most people think its lame, but seriously, I like running around and acting like a kid for a couple of hours.

Guest TheBlurricane Report post Posted August 1, 2002 Serial Thriller and Greased Lightning - Six Flags Astroworld Haunted Mansion - Disneyland (yeah I'm serious this ruled!)
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted August 1, 2002 DisneyLand - Peferred it over Disney World. And yeah, Haunted Mansion does indeed own. Islands of Adventure - Pretty cool place for an infant amusement park. The Spider-Man and Hulk ride were fucking ahawsome. Universal Studios Florida - If only cause I really really really dug the Men in Black ride. Six Flags here in Vallejo is 'eh'. I still can't shake the Marine World vibe from the place. Having actual rides there is just weird.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 1, 2002 -Busch Gardens in Virginia- I went there a few years back. There are a bunch of parts and each part is a country. Each diferent country has the main dish from that country. It's a really cool park. -Six Flag Magic Mountain- I went there during Spring Break and let me tell you theur new ride "X" is something that I have never amagined! It is crazy! Then you have other great rides like Superman, Batman, Riddler's Revenge, and Goliath, and like 10 more. -Island of Adventures- This park has the best 3D ride. It's a Spider man one. It is awesome. Then they have the Hulk which is one of the best rides that I have ever been on.

Guest Still Fly Report post Posted August 1, 2002 Deja Vu is the one you are talking about. Yeah. It isn't as good looking as "X." But X had to malfunction right before the most congested season of the year. And its still closed with no signs of opening.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 1, 2002 Yeah Deja Vu...That's what it's called. There was a 6 hour wait for X when I went. But I had one of those fast lane cards or whatever they are called, so I was only in line for 1 hour.
