Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted July 31, 2002 When I was looking at WWE.com today, it tried to install gator on my computer. I frequently run spyware cleaner programs, so I'm assuming that it's something on the WWE website, but before I write them to complain about it, I was wondering if it happened to anyone else
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted July 31, 2002 I cleaned off the gator crap that was on my computer since the last time I cleaned it off (last week) and then I went to wwe.com and then ran Ad-Aware and the only things that showed up were cookies for Double Click and Value Click. So eh...I dunno..
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted July 31, 2002 yeah it didn't actually install Gator, just gave me the popup trying to install it
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 31, 2002 It doesn't do any harm, it's just a pop-up, but you'd think WWE would have enough money to be able to run the website ad-free.

Guest DrTom Report post Posted August 1, 2002 It's one thing to have popups, but popups for what is probably the most insecure piece of spyware ever? For shame, WWE. I use Popup Stopper, which stops about 95% of popup ads. Gator should be avoided at all costs, especially if you have broadband and/or are part of a network.
