Commercials during Raw and Smackdown!

When the same commercials are on Raw and Smackdown! eack week, I wanted to know which ones were favored and which ones were not. By the way, how do you feel about the specific network commercials?

I watch RAW on TSN, and Smackdown on The Score, both Canadian sports stations. As for what I think of the commercials, some of them are pretty lame, and some of them are alright.

It's funny, you see the same commercials every show and every week, and yet you can't remember many of them. I do remember I put out a mini-rant about how they changed the voice for the Greyhound dog in one of my Velocity recaps, and that still pisses me off, because I liked the old, "huskier" (no pun intended, even though it's not a husky in the commercials), sarcastic voice a lot better.

 

I liked the old Stacker 2 commercials with the wrestlers. They should make more of those, because the current one with Tough Enough isn't really that funny or good. I thought the one where the fat guy was insulting Kane to get him to chase him was hilarious, and even the one with Big Show and the guy stuck in the car window was funny, not only because it was totally absurd (just open the window and pull him out!), but Show's delivery of the line "You got a race on Satuday man, what're you gonna do?!" was slightly high-pitched and because of that it was pretty funny too.

I don't remember seeing any commercials for Mario Sunshine yet, but I agree that the one with the kid on the toilet playing Spider-man is stupid and kinda nasty.

I thought the commercials for Mario Sunshine rule. I hate most of the reaccuring commercials, espacially for Stacker 2, Fram and the Truth above all. I sometimes think I just keep on smoking to spite them.

I know I was getting a little sick of seeing 4 GTA 3 commercials EVERY SINGLE RAW.

 

Oh...wait...GTA 4 comes out in less than 3 months...

I mean I'm happy about the game...but the commercials...so many commercials...

Yea, the Fram ones are a little tired (especially the one with the asshole guy that needs directions and talks like Y2J), although the original one with the guy who grabs his wife's ass (which they rarely show anymore) is still pretty good.

I miss the Quaker State commercial with Leiah Remini (however you spell that) from King of Queens (and formerly of Saved by the Bell). When she admonishes us for not getting our oil changed, and says "You know better!" its strangely sexy.

When Raw is on i switch to comicview during commercials. When Smackdown is on during commercials, I switch to Big Brother 3

God I hate the Stacker 2 commercials.

 

The one with the fat guy is stupid...why would they have one with a fat guy saying he's going to lose weight...if all the heavy people who said they were going to lose weight actually did no one would be heavy...yours truely included

 

And the Nascar asshole is soooo annoying.

The old Stacker 2 commercials with Kane were great. The various ones with Lita and Big Show in the pits were not that good but tolerable. The current Tough Enough ones are awful. And not only do I have to put up with them during wrestling, but I also watch NASCAR and I swear the Stacker 2 ad gets played during EVERY commercial break. I sometimes go into a violent rage when they come on now.

I feel very guilty for thinking and saying this, given the man's politics, but I used to laugh during the Pat Buchanan for President commericals... [Kill... Me... Now... ] ...Even though I felt rather dirty for realizing that I, as a wrestling fan, was considered his "target audience" with those commercials. [An association that offended me almost as much as his racist views do.]

 

What's very weird is I find myself marking out for the mid match commercial breaks, cuz it reminds me of the "good" old days of watching hour long pretaped rasslin' shows in the early 90's. Ah, memories...
