The CPU makes him a near-god in SSF2. I always liked Sagat and Vega, especially for the wall climb. Fei Long is the game's best kept secret. You can can get double-perfects using only double-kicks and throws. NOBODY I knew used Fei Long though.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 I used to use Guile almost religously, but I've grown out of his moveset and have preferred Ken/Ryu/Sagat since. Always hated Zangief. His moves were nearly impossible for me to pull off. Especially because I never played as him in the arcades. Using the d-pad on a console made it a once in a blue moon occassion with the exception of his whirling clothesline thing.

Now that characters can roll, warp, and possibly split in two, I'd say Ken just needs to clean house with a dragon punch. What more can you say?

As for hated, Bison easily. He was always unfairly hard under the CPU's control, but instantly turned to a chode-smoking girly man whenever I took control of him.

Just double-kick, jump kick, and throw and you can beat everyone. He's lightning quick too. Cammy is good as well, like you said. Dee Jay and T. Hawk are of zero value. I was playing SSF2 on my emulator, and I put a save state in after losing to Bison so I could screw around and beat the game with everyone. Dee Jay could not get ONE hit on Bison. Sad.

He lunges forward and if he hits you, the screen goes out and you see 15 hit sparks and hear him beating you down. When it comes back you are down and Akuma is standing with his back turned. It looks especially cool if you KO them with it. His debut was doing that move. If you get to him in Super Street Fighter II Turbo he interupts the final match by doing it to Bison then takes his spot in the finals.

It looks especially cool if you KO them with it. Yup, although Capcom constantly changes the special effects for the Raging Demon finish. That pisses me off because the effects in SF Alpha 2 were awesome for example. It's just great when you finish someone with it, the screen explodes and Akuma stands over his fallen opponent looking like a badass while his symbol fills the screen.

The only guys i truly sucked with were ryu (never played as him) cammy, chun li, sagat and bison. My mate used to use bison all the time and just do his weakest punch like 10,000 times till you died. How the fuck that worked i don't know.
