Guest starvenger Report post Posted August 1, 2002 But when is someone gonna make "Edit of the Clones"??
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted August 1, 2002 That cover would be better if they had Jango Fett on it. Also, why release a full frame version? They didn't do that with Episode 1, and all that does it cater to the ignorance of blockbuster soccer moms.
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted August 1, 2002 I'm buying it. When's the release date?

Guest Karnage Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I really hope George Lucas releases the Original Trilogy on DVD. The whole 1997 SE was really stupid with all those changes.
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I really hope George Lucas releases the Original Trilogy on DVD. The whole 1997 SE was really stupid with all those changes I think the SE improved a lot of things, except for Geedo shooting first. For example, the Sarlaac Pit looked better, all the things going on in Mos Eisley, and the celebration music at the end of ROTJ (the original music was horrible). But I heard Lucas won't realease the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD until Episode III is finished, he says he has no time to do it properly, so we're just gonna have to wait. And hey, did anybody catch the movie digitally? I think there were some scenes that were different from the regular projected movie. If anybody knows what I'm talking about please post here. I just hope those scenes are included on the dvd edition.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted August 2, 2002 They are transferring the Digital version of the film which includes all the little added bits to DVD. I was gonna see it digital, but the damn theatre put Lilo & Stitch for the digital showings instead.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted August 2, 2002 This looks really good, I can't wait for it to come out. I wonder what the deleted scenes will be. Why does any DVD come out full frame when almost every DVD player I know of has an option where you can switch the screen to full frame? The people who can't get over "the black bars" don't have to see them, and the people who want widescreen get to be happy too.
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Cool. The Episode I dvd was completely packed, and this one looks to be the same. I agree that the should have put Jango on the cover, though.

Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted August 2, 2002 "Um...no Give me origanal any day." Agreed. I cringe every time in ROTJ when I watch that added footage right before that chick gets eaten by Jabba "pet." <bleech)
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I really hope George Lucas releases the Original Trilogy on DVD. The whole 1997 SE was really stupid with all those changes. Unfortunately, Lucas has stated many times that if Episodes IV-VI are released on DVD, they will ONLY be released as the Special Edition versions. He has no interest in releasing the "original, untouched" trilogy because they don't "meet his expectations".
Guest MrRant Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Well... they meet my expectations so goddamn it release them. When is Indiana Jones coming to DVD goddamnit?

Well maybe someone out there on the net will make a petition...but it's not gonna be me. Anyways, its pretty stupid for Lucas to think of them as roughcuts. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted August 3, 2002 George Lucas is a moron. The special effects and a little bit of the fighting were the best things about Episode 2. There were man things that were terrible about both Episodes 1&2. There was nothing compelling about Anakin Skywalker in either movie. When I saw Episode 1 for the first time, I was thinking that Lucas must have owed someone a favor because there must be better child actors out there. In Episode 2, we were supposed to see Anakin start to gravitate towards the dark side, but it was done so shoddily. Anakin seemed like a punk bitch, and if I had to put up with his punk ass he would have turned to the dark side much sooner. I can watch Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back with their inferior special effects, but the new movies irritate me. I would be very surprised if 25 years from now, people think Episodes 1&2 are really that good.
