Wow this is fun.

I went to BlockBuster and walked by the GameCube section on my way to the PS2 section noticing that the X-Box section had greatly expanded but the GameCube section was the same damn size. I started wondering if my GameCube was a big fat waste of money. Seems how SSBM is the only game that I really play on it and everything else is just a rental game or a game I can play on a different system. But suddenly I see Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

Even thought I never had a DC I played the first Sonic Adventure a LOT at a friend's house. I grabbed it and proceeded to checkout grabbing a 30 dollar pre-played GTA: 3 on the way and vowing to return for Max Payne.

I've played it and it's really fun. I love the speed of Sonic and this game has just that. The only drawback is Tails being in some stupid robot instead of flying around.

So anyone else played it? I have not yet had a chance to try out the battle mode. Is it any good?

Well umm, the game has only been out since Tuesday up here.

 

I have been renting Rogueleader quite a bit. In my opinion, a damn fun game.

 

I'll try to rent it ASAP, but no opinions yet. Maybe it's because it's multiplayer like... ah well.

I love the speed of Sonic and this game has just that.

On the topic of the game ... I haven't played it. I'm sure if I get around to doing so I'll have fun with it, as has been the case with most of the Sonic games. Never been as big of a fan of the franchise as I could be, main reason being Sonic himself. He has far too much attitude for me to relate to him on a personal level.

 

I do like the hedgehog in the commercials, though. I loved it when he rolled on his back! That was so fucking adorable! I really want to buy one to take care of soon.

Anyways what I was trying to say was that it's been so long since I've played a Sonic because my Genesis bit the big one and I don't have a DC. Then I play this game and well it rules. What I was saying about the speed is that Sonic was the only game I ever played where you could just speed through the level while it blurred by you. But you have to be careful of whatever could be in the way. It's been so long since I've played a Sonic that I sat down and took off and was like "Whoa.....I forgot how fast this is!".

I still think that the Tails thing sucks. I mean Tails!? In a big mech throughout the whole game!? I'd rather be flying around.

I got the game for my birthday, and yes it is good.

 

I don't own a DC, so this was my first time playing it.  I love it-- has tons of lastability.  Getting all the emblems on each level... getting all the upgrades for each level and such.  Raising Chao, too.

 

I must say I think Shadow owes Sonic, but that's just my opinion.  Shadow's levels are WAYYY harder than Sonic's, too.

Also, I think Tails and Sonic have a thing going on... I mean when you die as Tails (by I fall, I think) he screams, "SOOOONIIIIICCCC!!"  O_O  

 

Anyhow, it's a great game if you don't have it already for DC if and with this and Super Smash Brothers it should hold me over until Wrestlemania X8 (a MUST get) to come out in June or July.

 

Only thing that sucks about it would have to be the camera angles and treasure hunting sometimes... but other than that, a great game.

See, that was a mistake. You should have said you were ... let's say ... fourteen. Then you'd seem like your opinion on things is kinda valid, and I wouldn't think it's as sad that you said to "bite me." But, 17 ... wow. Just wow. I'll take your word for it, then.

Well, if it had just been Sonic/Shadow, or if you had the option to just play as one of them, I would have been happy.  But, the Tails/Robotnik(I still hate that fucking "Eggman" bullshit) and Knuckles/Rogue stages suck the big one.  Therefore, making this the worst Sonic game ever made, IMO.  1/3rd of the game being good doesn't make a good game.

I have a reason. I did it because I felt you said and did some stupid things. So I just alerted you to it. I tried to be nice, but you went and told me to bite you. Sure, I called you a "nasty" ... but really, I'm surprised you took that very seriously.

I've played it on DC and I'd have to agree with Fazzle. The Sonic and Shadow levels are fun but everything else is horribly lame. Too much crap, it's not worth it to play it all just for a few Sonic levels.

Any way, I hated the game on DC. Is the Gamecube one any different? I totally hated everything except the Sonic and Shadow levels and even those pushing the bad envolope. Worst Sonic game with Sonic Spin Ball and Doc Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.
