Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted August 4, 2002 "(Omar Manaias is a great GM). " ...why exactly?mlb gave him the ok to make the trades, which didn't help the Expos. The NL ROY is tough to choose, no one really deserves the award. If Kearns got more AB he would probably deserve it.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted August 4, 2002 Verne it's not Minaya's fault that Floyd didn't hit and teh team went into a slump right after they got Colon and Floyd. The two moves he made were very good in theory. He got a power hitting outfielder and a guy who was 3rd in ERA in the AL. trading Floyd away aslo made sense now that the Expos appear to be falling out of the race, at least they got a couple of decent prospects for him instead of a few drat picks who are unpredicyable at best. Plus the Sox got Floyd do I'm happy anyway. Although I would have prefered Colon.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted August 5, 2002 What I was trying to say is that he had to get the ok from MLB in order to make the trade.
