CZW To Run Deathmatch Tournament

On August 31st. It's being run behind the Break Away Tavern, instead of in Viking Hall, where a majority of CZW shows have been held in 2002.

 

No one has been named, but it is rumored to be a 12 man tourny. Which means it might be run Best of the Best style.

 

On the website, it also says, "Forget any show in Philly, HAUL ASS TO DELAWARE!"

 

XPW is running Viking Hall the same night.

 

Personally, a move such as this gives the impression that CZW is worried about XPW, and that they need to pull something big, a la a deathmatch tourny, to take fans away from XPW.

 

I really didn't think that XPW was going to draw that many paying fans anyway. With CZW running the same night, especially something of this magnitude, XPW will be hurt.

 

I'd rather CZW run the tourny the following week, just to see if they could outdraw XPW.

 

But the end of August will be very interesting, and give a clearer picture of the independent wrestling circuit in the U.S.

I think CZW is trying to make its fans go to its show instead of the XPW show to make sure nobody gets hurt.

Oh man I don't wanna see how this tournament ends up. It will be a massacre. And CZW doesn't need to worry about XPW. One of those twod feds suck. Guess which one?

I gotta find someone in my dorm with a credit card. SMV is gonna tape the show, and I want a copy of it.

 

I was always wondering which CZW show to get first, either COD3, BOTB2, High Stakes, etc... Now, I think I'll start with Tournament of Death.

 

And, before you ask, the reason I'm not going to have a credit card myself, is because I really don't need my credit rating destroyed before I am 25.

 

Besides, I figure if I kill the first one who offers me a credit card, and pin the body to the door of my dorm, it should scare the rest away.
