Movies That Need SE DVDs

Recommended Posts

criterion did an AMAZING 3- or 4-disc laserdisc set of 'raging bull', & i don't think it's been released on dvd yet.

'ghost world' definitely needs one.

all the coen brothers movies.

there's at least half a dozen great bunuel movies that i can't even find on video, much less special edition dvd. (on a side note, does anyone on this board have a copy of 'simon of the desert'? i will trade/buy/anything for it.)

ditto for orson welles: 'othello', 'the magnificent ambersons', 'the trial', 'chimes at midnight'--'citizen kane' and 'touch of evil' were not the ONLY great movies he ever made, dammit!

ditto for roman polanski: 'rosemary's baby', 'chinatown', 'macbeth', 'repulsion'.

'magnolia' needs a commentary.

criterion could have a field day with a 'greed' special edition (2-hour version, 4-hour version, screenplay, production stills, story behind the movie, etc).

Huh? There is a sweet special edition of The Usual Suspects. It's been out for a while.

Well then. Nevermind. :)

I would LOVE to see some episodes of THUNDERCATS be released on DVD! I have all the eps on VHS... but DVD is the way to go... and think of the extras! I'd be a happy boy.

Yea, maybe they could put on that "Thundercats bloopers" audio file that's been making the rounds on the internet for years. Maybe even combine it with some pencil sketches or deleted animation (if there are any)? Hmmm... maybe not, but it'd still be funny. Yea, "Thundercats" on DVD would be pretty cool.

those outtakes are classics! Have to go listen to them now. :)

Ghostbusters

Unless you mean the cartoon show, there already is a huge special edition DVD of Ghostbusters.
