Guest Storm Tracker Report post Posted August 2, 2002 On tonight's SD, Steph said that only the most energetic, agressive wrestlers are on her show. So what is Hulk Hogan doing on Smackdown? His appearance ruined an otherwise excellent show for me. I think the Kurt/ Brock feud has some decent possibilities. Then they have to throw Hogan in the middle of everything. Hogan/Brock doesn't interest me at all.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Vince McMahon picked Hogan in the draft, hence the reason he's on Smackdown. B)
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Probably because we'd revolt if he stunk up Raw. Bradshaw, Bubba, and Big Show are bad enough.
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I think it's actually so they can edit his matches and stuff, since most times that he is on live TV, he makes an embarrasment out of himself.

Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I think that they should just put him on Velocity. That way it gets ratings for that show, and it means that he can't harm Smackdown.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Hogan is there to put over the young guys. Give em the old rub.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I think that they should just put him on Velocity. That way it gets ratings for that show, and it means that he can't harm Smackdown. Then the ratings for Velocity would plummet.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Hogan is harmless- He comes out, pops the crowd and makes everyone happy. He's good for Smackdown- Let the guy enjoy his final run. He's not playing any political games and is putting people over.
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Report post Posted August 2, 2002 He isn't giving anybody a rub. He's old and a joke. Even though Angle made him tap, it didn't really do anything for him.

Hey hey hey hey hey! You leave my show alone! It's bad enough we're guaranteed an appearance from either Albert or Mark Henry every week. As for why Hulk Hogan's on Smackdown... what's he going to do on RAW anyway? What's he going to do anywhere? Also, I think the reason they added him to the Brock/Angle mini-feud is so that they could put off a full-scale Brock/Angle feud for later, possibly so it could be over the world title. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Hogan tapping to Angle made Angle look like a million bucks. I mean Kurt Angle made the Immortal Hulk Hogan tap out. That's an insane rub to get. Kudos to Hulk for doing the right thing
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Maybe so, but it was never played up, and I don't think the ankle lock would ever look good until he locks it in a bit tighter. Sometimes he has it so loose, it looks ridiculous.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Hogan isn't giving anyone a rub? C'mon. The attention and fan response Hogan gets and the automatic immense heat his opponents get isn't a rub? Hogan did his job; he tapped to Angle. The rest is up to the Wwf hype machine to push Angle and his ankle lock as deadly. They should have had angle tapping out everyone left right and centre after tapping out hogan, but alas they didn't. Still, the move means A LOT more than it did before Hogan tapped, I'll tell you that.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Totally agree with Rudo- and Angle is playing up like it's the greatest thing ever as he should.
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Hogan has jobbed more times in his current stay at the WWE, than most ME stars have in their ME days. By the way, I find Hogan more entertaining than the others.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I have one question... Can Angle do no wrong?
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Report post Posted August 2, 2002 He holds the chair a bit funny when he whacks people with it, I guess.

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Eh, Hogan isn't hurting much of anything other than match quality. The fans still love him, and he's entertaining even if you can call his promos word for word. Plus he's putting the younger guys over, more than you can say for HHH or Taker. I think The Undertaker tries...hey, at least SOME effort is there. He ain't in the back dropping anvils on all the rookies that walk in the entrance like Hunter is. What? I should check my relevance level? Oh shit, its WAY off... Hogan rules brotha, I love the guy and i do not see any real reason for anyone to hate him, he's working harder now than i think he has in years. Also, why isn't HHH holding Cena down? The push the wrong fookin' people, IMO.

Cena was going to do the whole 'kick the crap outta the boss ( Vince McMahon )' angle before our buddy H-Cubed stepped in and said it was WRONG for a rookie to touch the boss just yet... Triple H knows best, not the fans. This has been the Taker Mark
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted August 2, 2002 hogan is harmless right now, he jobs on ppv, jobbed the tag belts, pops the crowd, stays out of the main, leaves. Fine with me. And he now stands on the apron for a lot of his matches too, even better.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted August 2, 2002 The only reason I can see Hogan being on Smackdown is to job to the upcoming superstars like Cena, etc. I really don't have a problem with Hogan on Smackdown. Plus, it's because of him I tune into Smackdown every week.
