My Internet Explorer is dead

Guest VillanoVII

Everytime I try to start up IE I get the error report thing and it shuts down. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but this version came as part of XP and whenever I try to update it says there's a newer version already installed and so it stops updating.

oh and here's a stupid question........can you upgrade the processor on your computer? I have Intell Celeron and I want a Pentium 4. Do you have to get a whole new motherboard?

Not anymore... they have new motherboards that don't use RDRAM. I built one for my soon to be in-laws last night.

I don't know. I have XP so whenever I open IE it asks if I want to send an error report. I don't know how to find out the exact problem. When I send the error report IE shuts down......everytime I open it this happens.....the page never gets to load before it happens

Do you remember when it started? If so use the WinXP restore feature and restore your system to a date before it started and that should help. There is always reformatting as well.
