I'll bet that would have got people's attention, but Austin took off before they could get him.

First off, no one is drawing right now.

 

Second, Benoit and Eddie have no character development whatsoever. Aside from Eddie coming back to get RVD and Benoit to get Austin, what have they done. And the RVD story wasn't that strong and it took him a while to get on track, and Benoit's been just thrown out there and allowed to wrestle.

 

Smackdown needs to go live every month. SD group tours Thursday through Sunday, RAW group Friday through Monday rather than what they're done already. But they need the extra revenue right now and it's kept their gross pretty good, which is what's keeping that from happening. Taping is hurting it.

If it had to be a McMahon, Linda would have worked better than Stephanie.

That's the only choice WORSE than Steph, IMO.

There really is no solution. I have many friends who were huge, huge fans of the WWF 4-5 years ago, but now they just have no interest in the current product whatsoever. They still remember the "good ol' days" nostalgically, but nothing seems to draw them back. The wrestling is better, we are getting dream match after dream match, but nothing that Vince does seems to draw those old fans back. I think that the business has just hit a dip and it's going to be some time before it has another peak.
