Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 A little explanation may be needed for some of these... Billy Corgan is, of course, the former frontman for legendary alternative rock group The Smashing Pumpkins, and goes to every wrestling show in the Chicago area. The Bald Guy was at ECW Guilty As Charged 2001, the final PPV, and was always found roaming the front row. The fans even started a chant of "kill the bald guy" because he was being an ass. The "Evil Guy w/ Sunglasses" is the fan with long, black hair, a goatee, and always wears sunglasses. He was found at almost every ECW event, and a damn fine number of WWF events. He usually wears a black t-shirt, black jeans, and a black leather vest. Hope that helps.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Evil Sunglasses guy...*shiver*
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Evil Sunglasses Guy gets around. I think I saw him at WWF New York during "No Way Out," but he usually manages to make the PPVs on the East coast. What sort of revenue must Evil Sunglasses Guy be pulling in to be able to afford all of that?
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted February 21, 2002 He's been around for a long time too. I remember watching one of my old Wrestlemania videos and he was there with the bald tanktop guy.
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 21, 2002 I've always thought Evil Sunglasses Man was known as Faith No More Guy. Oh well...he's the coolest though.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 David Arquette!! No actually I always liked the Hat Dude and the Sign Guy from lots of the ECW shows. I know the Dudley's always like to mess with them.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 21, 2002 You forgot the Hogan mark. He went to a lot of WWF and WCW PPV's that Hogan was on and dressed just like him bandana, tanktop, yellow shorts, yellow boots, and even had the mustache. The evil sunglasses guy would be my favorite of those listed. He's been around forever and I did see him at WWF NY on the PPV.
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Plus there's that little kid with curly hair who always seemed to be in the front row of each and every WCW event near the end.
Guest Breakdown Report post Posted February 21, 2002 The "Evil Guy" as you call him looks like Howard Stern in my opinion, even Paul Heyman called him a Stern lookalike at a ECW show in Queens in 98 or 99. The guy who always used to go to the WWF shows with the tanktop is Vladmeir(something like that), he was in the WWF magazene like 6 years ago when they did a article on him. I heard he hasn't gone to alot of shows because he doesn't like the whole "Attitude" thing and the Sports Entertainment stuff, but I remember see,ing him at MSG not long ago. And I was at Guilty as Charged 2001 with the bald guy, didn't security take his hat and throw it to the crowd?
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Hogan Mark was great. Out of the more contemporary fans I like Sign Guy.. and Billy Corgan? UGH
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 **sigh** It's tough being the only Tye Dye Guy mark...
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Hey, why isn't Bob Backlund Fan Guy on this list? Yes, Evil Sunglasses Guy is more popularly known as Faith No More Guy (because he resembles FNM guitarist Jim Martin (I think that's his name) ). That's interesting to hear about Vladimir. He, Faith No More Guy, and their buddy Little Pudgy Guy were like super fans, because they showed at SO MANY mid-90s WWF events. I'm serious. Rent some PPVs from around that time, and you'll probably catch them in the front row. When I was at Survivor Series '96 at MSG, before the PPV started, the ring announcer walked up to them and handed them a bunch of new WWF T-shirts to wear. Vladimir was kind of a mini-celebrity to me because he was fucking everywhere.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Oh yeah, the Hogan mark was so funny. I haven't seen this tape in years, but if my memory is correct, he was at King of the Ring '93 when Hogan lost the title to Yokozuna. Hogan Guy had the GREATEST, most devastated look on his face when his hero jobbed. LOL
Guest Anorak Report post Posted February 22, 2002 That was definitely the Faith no More guy at WWF New York last sunday, i recognised him quite quickly. Was the RTC guy at Royal Rumble 2001 a different person to the ECW sign guy?
Guest Repo Man jr Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Finally I find out he has a name, Vladimir!
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 ECW Sign Guy was kinda old...like mid-30's, wasn't he?
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I was at KOTR 93 (from the Heartland of America, Dayton OH) I remmember the Hogan mark too. The funniest fans at that event though were these two guys in the first row on the second tier. One was dressed like Razor Ramon and they held up a huge cloth sign that said "Bobby Heenan Fan Club" and when Hogan lost they went estatic, and being a 14 year old trying to be cool I started cheering for them and booing Hogan (who I've always been apathetic too, Savage was MY reason for watching wrestling)
Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Ah, Superfans, they're like the proto-Smark.
Guest Flair5000 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I liked the guys with SharkBoy masks. They looked amusingly stupid.
Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I heard Vladmir was a big Sid mark. Strange. Anyway, where is Hawaiian shirt guy?
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted February 22, 2002 isn't hawaiian shirt guy 'hat' guy?
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Vladimir did look like he was a big Sid mark. If you watch Survivor Series '96, he does a lot of cheering for Sid in the main event.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted February 22, 2002 No love for the guy at Wrestlemania 8 who during Money Inc.'s entrance held up six brand new one dollar bills and Bobby Heenan mocked him, ahh memories. How about the people who dress up as Paul Bearer from 1992 to early 96(pre-Mankind feud) there were at least ten of them. BTW about Vladimir, he's a big Roddy Piper mark he goes crazy everytime the ol' Hot Rod made his way into the arena. You can see him during Wrestlemania 8 nearly crying when Roddy Piper is about to hit Bret Hart with the ring bell, he was saying"NO RODDY DON'T DO IT". In my opinion superfans are half- marks, but not quite a smart or mark.
