Guest mykatissatan Report post Posted February 21, 2002 I was thinking about this the other night. Ever realize that the WWF ALWAYS puts on a good show in certain venues? And the ones that suck are in no-name places, or with shitty crowds? When I think of good shows, I think of NYC, Chicago, Providence, Boston, anywhere in Canada pretty much, Pittsburgh, among others. If this is true then the buildup to WrestleMania should be good. Chicago last week, Providence and Boston this week, catch my drift? I dont mean to say that its ONLY in those places, but do you think that they have special things planned when they are there? It seems like it. PS: I live in Providence, and theres always a good show here....Im not just showing my markness. There was 1 bad one here last year, and we let em know about it. Whos going Monday? Guest treble charged Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Well, what do you expect? The name of the arena is the Dunkin Donuts Center. How can you not have a good show there?
Guest DEEP THOUGHT Report post Posted February 22, 2002 ...Anywhere in Canada except Vancouver. The PPV's there (International Incident, Rock Bottom...) always suck.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Yup, and they don't seem to do shows at General Motors Place anymore, the recent house show was held at the PNE Coliseum. Well it's Vancouver, all they do is film stuff here.
Guest DubWiser Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Uhh, KOTR 2000 - Boston... ...But then again, we did get that Raw where Austin and Rocky sang for twenty minutes, so it's all good. Wait, no it's not.
Guest John Dub Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Hey, Boston's had it good shows too. KOTR sucked, but we got WM14, Shane thrown off the stage and ROck and Sock forming...
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Here in Buffalo we are generally neglected. The WWF stops by about once every 14 months or so. They'll be here tomorrow...and I'm on the floor (so now i've been on the floor for ECW, WCW & WWF). Tomorrow also marks the first Scott Hall match back in the WWF. Woopee. Actually they changed the card 3 times...and finally settled on one that didn't outright blow (Austin vs. Hall (with Nash), HHH vs. Angle, Regal vs. RVD, Edge vs. Storm, DDP vs. Christian, Kane vs. Test (boo), Booker T vs. Rikishi (I like booker...but boo), Dudleys & Stacy vs. Hardys & Lita, and Chuck a Billy vs. Albert & Scotty (boo)...Mr. Perfect was supposed to wrestle...but he's still appearing along with Jazz and Flair...why Perfect and Jazz are "appearing" I know not) Interestingly...We have had all of the "Big 3" have a ppv here...which is odd because we don't ever het wrestling. ECW: November To Remember 99 WCW: Fall Brawl 00 WWF: Fully Loaded 99 Interestingly...none of those shows sucked. And we got some GREAT ECW shows here...including RVD's tv title win... So for a town that doesn't see much wrestling... When they do come....they don't disapoint.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 22, 2002 "When I think of good shows, I think of NYC, Chicago, Providence, Boston, anywhere in Canada pretty much, Pittsburgh, among others. " Actually, the crowds in Pittsburgh are dead quiet. Hell, hometown boy Angle won the title their and the crowd was silent thoughout the title match. IN their defense, I don't remember the quality of the shows shown in Pittsburgh. I know San Antonio crowds aren't hard to please. Need to get an angle over, come to S.A. We'll cheer for anything. Test may only suck up 1/4 of the normal amount of heat he usually kills.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Doesn't anyone remember Royal Rumble 2000? 3/4 of the Cactus/HHH streetfight the crowd was DEAD SILENT. A ***** match doesn't please those people. It might be "steeped in tradition" but when they go to MSG...I groan.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I should also point out that the crowds in Buffalo were more into ECW stuff than WCW or WWF. Heyman once said that coming to Buffalo was one of his favorite places (the quote was something like: Of course ECW arena is our home...but I like going to Buffalo because the crowd is super hot. He backed that up by giving us the RVD title change and a ppv)
Guest KOR420 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I was there when RVD won the title and I have the Path Of Destruction DVD with the title win and the three way dance between Lynn,Super Crazy and Tajiri from N2R 00 and another little note my good friends brother got me seats in front cause he worked security lol,i can see him on the DVD holding the crowd back! Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Hey man, I was front row, camera side when RVD won the gold. I too am on the Path of Destruction dvd.

Guest KidRaven Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Pittsburgh Shows: We have had some very memorable moments and some horrible moments. Our first PPV was SummerSlam 1995. The Awesome: Shawn/Razor Ladder Match II The Bad: Diesel vs Mable Our Second PPV: King of The Ring 1998 The Memorable: Foley/Taker Hell in the Cell II. With how many times they have shown that dive from the cell, our city should be getting royaltties. PPV #3 Unforgiven 2001 I don't know what show you were watching, but I was there live and that crowd went nuts. I personally booed the hell out of Angle winning, but the crowd was jakked. We also had the Bret Hart giving the US a enema and sticking the hose in Pittsburgh quote. The debut of the Radicalz was at Pittsburgh. That may have been the biggest moment for me. I lost it when I saw Benoit in the crowd. So we have had our fair share of Awesome Moments.
Guest RepoMan Report post Posted February 22, 2002 If you think Buffalo dosn't get enough shows, try living in Rochester. WWF hasn't been here sense Halloween of 2000. We used to atleat get a house show a year.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 So just take the drive to Buffalo. It's not that far and there are still tickets available for tomorrow.
Guest Tazzmission25 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I live in Rochester too, and I am getting pissed that they aren't coming here. They used to put on some really good shows. Raw came here in June 2000, and it was awesome. The only reason they came here, probably, was because it's Chyna's hometown.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted February 22, 2002 must i point on one great city to have a show in atlanta... think about the last 2 shows we've had here Royal Rumble 2002 ECW invasion Goldberg won the title here in 1998 and when the nwa was here with starrcade... there we go
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Baltimore used to be a great WCW town. WWF doesnt bother to go there much, always to DC. The Baltimore Arena is small and old. The new Comcast Arena on the University of Maryland Campus which seats 17,000 might change that.
