Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Randy Savage vs. Steve Austin Winner: Steve Austin. Randy Savage was the second fiddle in the late 80's Hogan revolution of wrestling, whereas Austin was the focal point of the 90's boom, and was a damn great Champion. Savage was a good champion, but he had one great reign and his 2nd one was barely noticable. Austin had two lackluster reigns but his first and his last two were excellent. The WWF has established Austin as the "greatest WWF Champion of all time"(J.R., Heyman), so I give this vote to Austin. Bob Backlund vs. Hulk Hogan Winner: Hulk Hogan easily. Backlund's reign did not draw a lot of attention whereas Hogan as World Champion brought about the late 80's big boom of pro-wrestling.

Guest JHawk Report post Posted August 5, 2002 I'm gonna go against the grain and say Savage and Backlund. Just because they're the better wrestlers in their matches (although it's close between Savage and Austin when both were healthy in the primes)
