GCW tomorrow night!

Tomorrow night, Gateway Championship Wrestling returns to action at Aggies' on South Broadway in St. Louis, Missouri(bell time 8:00).  Not only will the GCW Heavyweight Championship be decided, but the next contender to that belt will be determined as well!

In a grudge match almost two years in the making, GCW Heavyweight Champion Nikki Strychnine will defend his title against "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden.  Their history extends back to the very origin of GCW, where the two joined forces after Madden became the inaugural GCW titleholder in April of 2000.

The two teamed up for several months, but Madden took offense to Strychnine's increasingly aggresive tactics.  He even told Strychnine not to interfere in a match against Big Bad Ben in October of 2000...the match in which Madden lost the title.

Nikki became increasingly fed up with Madden holding him back...and when Madden got a rematch against Ben on GCW TV two months later and again refused Nikki's help, Strychnine snapped and turned on his ally, delivering a top-rope Frankensteiner that sent Madden flying onto a stop sign set up on two chairs.  Ben's victory was academic from there.

The two would have a chaotic brawl on GCW TV a few months later, a battle which featured Madden delivering a "sledsault" on Strychnine and ended with Strychnine tying Madden up in the ropes and cutting his hair.  The match was set for Aggies' in March of 2001:  Strychnine's hair vs. Madden's career.  Strychnine came out on top and Madden's career was seemingly over, with Big Bad Ben adding insult to injury by attacking Madden after the match.  Later that night, though, Madden delivered a parting shot, hitting his trademark chairsault to cost Ben the GCW Title to Kevin Sharp.

The Human Wrecking Ball could only watch from afar as Strychnine shockingly upset Sharp for the GCW Title in October 2001.  But in November, Madden made his return to GCW in a non-wrestling capacity as the special referee in a match between Big Bad Ben and Balls Mahoney.  Ben got in Madden's face once too often and Madden attacked him, delivering another chairsault that resulted in "The Chair Swingin' Freak" winning the grudge match.

Ben demanded a match with Madden at the first Adults F'n Only show...an exploding barbed wire match!  Ben won the match, but Strychnine, infuriated by Madden's return to action, victimized his former ally after he'd already suffered a beating at the hands of Ben.

Madden repeatedly sought a title shot at Strychnine, but recently on GCW TV, Nikki demanded that Madden run a three-match gauntlet to earn his title shot.  Madden defeated the Crocodile Kid, overcame the handicap of teaming with Strychnine lackey Rat Boy to upend the Old School Warriors, and then had to endure a teaming with the Super Castaldis(GCW's perennial losers) against Ben, Mike Sharona, and Outtkast.  Luckily for Madden, he managed to reverse an arrogant cover by Outtkast into a surprise crucifix pin, resulting in Madden finally getting the title shot he wanted.

So now it'll be Strychnine vs. Madden, in the same venue where Nikki initially retired Madden and where Nikki won the title in the first place...for the top prize in the midwest wrestling scene.

Also tomorrow night, four men will compete for the honor of the next shot at the GCW Title.  Former champions Big Bad Ben(w/ Kristi Myst) and Kevin Sharp will face each other and former #1 contender Jack Adonis(w/ Sugar) will take on D'Mon G, with the winners facing each other later that night to decide the true #1 contender to the GCW Title.

Ryan Ash was originally scheduled to face Kid Kash, but Kash had to cancel his GCW appearances due to XWF commitments.  So GCW set up a poll on its website to determine who Ash would face.  Ash could take on MsChif, Delirious, Outtkast, Matt, or even GCW Light Heavyweight Champion Billy McNeil.  Who will it be?  We'll find out tomorrow night.

In other action, Diamond Back Dingo and Crocodile Kid will go to war once again after having fought to a time-limit draw at the last Aggies' show.  Johnny Jett and Sam Bacardi will unite against a common enemy, the Old School Warriors(w/ Coach Chuck Farley).  And Ben's Syndicate ally Mike Sharona(w/ Kristi Myst) will get "environmentally unfriendly" as he takes on Johnny Greenpeace(w/ Tree).

It all goes down tomorrow night at Aggies' on South Broadway in St. Louis!
