Cole has drastically improved. I admit he wasn't the best in 99, but he has been really good as of late. Tazz is one of the worst commentators of all time. Yet, I don't hear anyone bitching about him. I can't believe you like Tazz more because he knows the names of a few moves. The thing with Cole is, if you already know the names of the moves, then why should you care if Cole misscalls them?

I know the names of the moves too, but the announcer's job is to make the casual fans aware of these different moves and put them over as such. If you can't name it, you can't claim that it is over.

The fact is that in WWE they don't spend that much time calling the midcard matches, which are where some of the more spectacular moves are. So if he's commentating an important match with the more basic WWE stlye, then he is better.

Unless the wwe has suddenly started catering only to the blind, the fans can see the move for themselves and don't need the "Wow" to tell them if it's spectacular. Granted it can add another dimension to a big move, but it should be used sparingly, not 16 times a match.

Cole rarely ever uses "Wow" when an important match is going on. Obviously, he has to do what he is told and shill Steph's interview segments and stuff, so he can't always be truly focused on the match, and how many of you actually know the name's of the cruiser moves? It's a harder job than it seems. Could you imagine JR calling a cruiser match? He can't even get people's names right! Once he called Rikishi "Takishi".

Technically he is. In mark's terms, He's a tag wrestler, and has won more WWE Tag championships than anyone else. Wouldn't that make him the best? In other sports it's the people who win the most that are the best, specifically championships, and wrestling is aimed at marks.
