Guest Still Fly Report post Posted August 5, 2002 STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT THE MOVIE TO BE SPOILED!!!! I saw it... Hollywood people say it was supposed to be as good as the Godfather. Eh. I don't think so. Tom Hanks plays a good hit man. Its as cheesy as The Patriot. With a little less gore. Just a little. And why wasn't the kid traumatized? I would be if I saw my mother and brother DEAD! He said he didn't want to eat twice or something and that was his only emotion... Its just another summer dissapointment. Guest Still Fly Report post Posted August 5, 2002 yet it'll still be up for some oscars exactly. The movie did nothing for me. I think Tom Hanks is a good actor, but that movie didn't do him justice. YAY! MY 100th post!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Overrated and predictable, but still well made and acted.
Guest Strike Force! Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Who is comparing this to The Godfather??? The movie features gangsters....the comparisons stop there. What a ridiculous comparison. Are moviegoers, critics, etc. really this stupid nowadays, where they see two movies that feature gangsters and think they have to be about the same thing? Jeez........... Guest Human Fly Report post Posted August 5, 2002 To me Jude Law stole the movie and wasn't in it near enough. It seemed to me that certain points of the movie were stretched that didn't need to be stretched, and points that could've used some more fleshing out were rushed. Guest DrTom Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Obviously, opinions will vary, but I thought "Road To Perdition" was excellent, despite the fact I could see the ending coming a mile away. The cinematography was incredible, the acting was good all around, and I liked the story and the writing. It's the best movie I've seen this year.

It's more than just plot that makes a movie..it's cinematography, camera work, acting, music, etc. I thought Road to Perdition was very good, btw, if anyone cares. It's borderline Oscar-material IMO. Guest Narcoleptic Jumper Report post Posted August 6, 2002 If you liked the film, I recommend reading the Graphic Novel that it was based on. It is 10x more cohesive than the film (which was still great), and has great artwork.
