Guest Army Eye Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Very good heat considering the crowd was probably pretty catatonic after all those recap packages NWO is terrified of Austin? Why? I don't care for this too much
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Hall is tied up near beer & soda. Kinda weird the nWo is now running away.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Did the WWF get worried that the NWO was getting some face heat on Monday, so now they're 'cowards' too? I mean really..
Guest Kingpk Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 I think Hall just got a sneak peek at hell. Bound in a chair surrounded by cases upon cases of alcohol.
Guest Risk Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 That must suck for Hall, having a beer on his shoulder and not being able to drink it. Seeing SCSA drink in front of him. Hey! Lance doesn't like the Dudleys!
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Did the WWF get worried that the NWO was getting some face heat on Monday, so now they're 'cowards' too? I mean really.. Good point. The WWF won't be able to force people who to boo or cheer. This isn't the '80s anymore. Now they might try to do the same thing they did with SCSA as a heel...make them cowards.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 I think Hall just got a sneak peek at hell. Bound in a chair surrounded by cases upon cases of alcohol. LOL
Guest Army Eye Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 I'm tired of 'unorthodox' being used to describe Rob Van Dam
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 What's with all the Horsemen references? Does the WWF plan to bring the Horsemen back?
Guest The Shockmaster! Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Doesn't logic dictate that the NWO should seem like a major threat until Wrestlemania? Why bitch them out in their third appearance on WWF TV?
Guest The Shockmaster! Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Spike and Tazz are the suckiest WWF tag champs since Sparkplug Holly and The 1-2-3 Kid.
Guest Stupendous Man Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Oh fuck this shit. If they're gonna do the Ambiguously Gay Duo, bring in Lenny and Lodi and do it right.
Guest The Shockmaster! Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Now we are set up to have a "gaybashing rules" tag match at WM. Hooray!
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 The APA will probably win at WM. Setting up the APA vs. Hall & Nash (Or X-Pac, if Hall isn't there)
Guest goodhelmet Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Man, there are probably 100 wrestlers who could do the BillyChuck gimmick better, never mind that it's an ignorant concept to begin with. Let's see if Bradshaw loads up on the vasoline. Hell, there are a 100 other tag teams I'd rather see at Mania.
Guest Stupendous Man Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Damn the crowd is pissed...and not because they're over as heels either. They do NOT want those straps on those two.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Whoever said "if the WWF wanted to do a gay tag team", they should of brought in Lenny & Lodi is right. Those guys had the gimmick down.
Guest muswp1 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Anyone noticed the heat or lack thereof for Billy and Chuck?? They are "dead men walking" for the APA or the Outsiders.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Chuck & Billy now become the "belt warmers" for Hall (Or X-Pac, if Hall isn't around) & Nash.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 I bet you Steph ends up hogging all the spotlight being with Jericho.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Damn the crowd is pissed...and not because they're over as heels either. They do NOT want those straps on those two. uhh you're contradicting yourself...
Guest The Shockmaster! Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 This show has wasted all the momentum that RAW built up. Shockingly I'm not surprised.
Guest The Shockmaster! Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Why the hell is that chick going all Matrix-y on the hellhounds in that Resident Evil movie commercial? Whats up wit dat?
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Gotta give credit to Hall for selling.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 WTF was the deal with that Undertaker/HHH thing? I still don't get it.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Austin gives a Stunner, then spray paints "3:16" to end the show. Not as entertaining as Raw.
Guest goodhelmet Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 "This show has wasted all the momentum that RAW built up. Shockingly I'm not surprised." i had made a comment previously on the spoilers page that if Monday was the greatest Raw ever (it wasn't) then Smackdown looked to be one of the worst ever (it was). This is why I wasn't hyped as everyone else for the NWO returning. The writers can't string two consistently good shows together. the ring work was nearly non existent and the angles did nothing to capitalize on Monday's momentum. Bad Show!
Guest Kinetic Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Man. Was it me, or did "Smackdown" seriously suck ass tonight? There were four matches, right? One of which lasted all of about 2 minutes before ending in a DQ. I understand that the emphasis is on Sports Entertainment, but they need to have SOME wrestling on the shows. The Austin-Hall thing was just dumb, in my opinion. It's really inconsistent with the potrayal of the nWo thus far to have them run from Austin like that. As far as things I did like: Hooking Jericho up with Steph could be the key to finally getting Jericho the sort of consistent crowd response that a main event guy needs. Good. And I appreciate the fact that they're at least doing something with Christian. Other than that, it was a really disappointing way to follow a great RAW.
Guest Stupendous Man Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Damn the crowd is pissed...and not because they're over as heels either. They do NOT want those straps on those two. uhh you're contradicting yourself... Not really, usually, when titles change hands, there is a pop, this time voracious boos, unlike anything those two have gotten before in terms of heel heat. From my perspective, that was Bossman heat all the way. Having the titles essentially means guaranteed TV Time for them, and people just don't want to see them on TV.
