Guest O.J. Hart Report post Posted August 5, 2002 I went to a house show last evening at the Mellon Arena in Pittburgh, Pennsylvania, with my dad and my best friend Eugene. Here's a fully detailed report of my experience at the show.... It all stareted aound 3:15 when my friend Eugene came over to get ready to leave for the show. He was wearing his Hulkamania t-shirt and i was wearing my Big Evil Red Devil shirt i just got in the mail from my shopzone order on friday. We played Wrestle Mania X-8 on Gamecube till around 4:30 when we left. On the way there we listened to Forceable Entry. In the trunk of the car, we had signs such as "I came to see Shelton Benjamin", "Flair Sags", "Nowinski fears the Locker Room", " Steven F'n Richards", and ofcourse "RVD". We got there around 5:45 and stood in line waiting for the doors to open at 6:00. the doors opened, and we went to our seats. We didn't get "programs" because they were just WWF Magazines and we already saw the card online. We probably were farthest from the ring than anyone else there. The arena holds about 19,000 for a house show and could a\only get around 3,500 people to come. We ordered our tickets only on Wednesday, and still got about the middle of section B, which is still pretty good. We saw a girl from our school named Kayla, she asked her dada if we could sit with her in their 3rd row from the ring seats and he and her uncle who arent big wrestling fans go sit with my dad, they said yea so me, eugene, an kayla were 3 rows from the ring by ourselves. My dad said meet him at his seats after the last match starts. At around 7:01, the lights went down and our announcer came out. I didnt recognize him though. He introduced Shane, a "VJ" from UPN 19 to be announcer for the first match. He welcomed us to the show, ran down the card, went over the rules like "no throwing stuff, no laser pens etc." we had national anthem, then Steven Richards music began. Richards got good heat and told the guest announcer, if Smackdown! is on UPN then what is he doing at a Raw Brand show? Good pop for that. Shelton benjamin came down next to a nice little pop because it was the first match of the night. I held up my "I Came to see Shelton Benjamin" sign, and he pinted at me and smiled. It was cool. Richards played a good heel and won the match in about 5 minutes with a Steven Kick. Next, Christopher Nowinski's music started and i popped for him big. Goldust came down next, and got a monster pop. Goldust won in about 7 minutes, but i forget how, I wasn't paying attention. Next match was a reason I was looking forward to sitting with Kayla in the 3rd row.....WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH!!! Molly Holly came down first to heat from everyone but me, eugene, and Kayla. We gave her a monster pop for only 3 people. We cheered Trish too when she came down. Good women's match by the way. Molly won with somehow by cheating, i was too buisy taking pictures of her and Trish's ghetto booties. Big Show came down for his match with Bubba, and challenged Bubba to a table match. Bubba came out next with a table. Bubba won the very boring match when Trish came down and distracted Show with her puppies. Bubba then threw him through the table for the win. Raven and Justin Credible came out next for their match to almost no reaction at all. Hardys came down then to a good pop. Credible and Raven didnt work good together as a team and wont probably see time together n TV as a team ever. Hardys hit all their usual spots and won with Matt htting a Twist of fate on i think Raven and Jeff hit a swanton for the pin. Announcer said the next match was the Main Event, was schedueled for one fall and is for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Storm and Chritian came down first with no Test, though to the 2nd biggest heat of the evening. Flair came out first to an awesome pop, then Taker came out to the biggest pop of the evening. Flair and Taker worked really good together in the match. Christian and Storm played really good heels in the match. Best match of the night ended when Taker attacked Storm and Christian with a steel chair and made Storm and Christian win by DQ. Intermission............ I knew next match was D'Lo and Sean O'Haire but I was still walking around. Got back in time to see D'Lo leave after the win. Next match was Dreamer against Bradshaw for the Hardcore Title. Bradshaw got big heat from my area. We got a "Bradshaw's Gay" chant going which was cool. Bradshaw won with a clothesline from hell to win the title. Planet Stasiak and Justin Credible ran down then but Dreamer DDT'd Bradshaw to win tback the title then he made a fast getaway. Regal came down next to a small pop when his music started becasue everyone knew who the next guy out would be. Booker T then came down to a humungous pop from all 3,500 fans at the arena. Book was very very over in Pittburgh and ot the win with a scissors kick. The he gave evrybody what they wanted to see.....THE SPINAROONI!!!! Announcer said he would like to thank everyone for coming tonight, we're the best fans in wrestling.... they say that at evry show. Then you hear "This final contest of the evening is schedueled for one fall....." and you hear a small pop. Jeicho came down to really good heat, then RVD came down to an awesome awesome pop. Really good rematch from last fall's match at Unforgievn here in Pittsburgh. RVD won this really long match after a 5 Star Frogsplash. Good match to end a good night of wrestling. The guys all put on a good show, and the bookers did a good job with the show. Biggest Pops 1. Taker 2. RVD 3. Flair 4. Booker T 5. Richards comment abou UPN guy being at Raw Brand show Biggest Heat 1. Jericho 2. Strom/Christian 3. Bradshaw 4. Big Show 5 Richards The fans were into every match so I expect we'll get a Smackdown! next time since Raw Brand was here last.

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Huh. I saw Jericho vs Edge at the Smackdown house show I went to last month. They aborted that fued like 3 times, and I think it would have been an awesome fued..
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 5, 2002 I'm glad they aborted it. Once Jericho re-signed he didn't need to be jobbed out anymore. And I get the feeling Edge would have been winning that feud.

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Well now Jericho is in a program with Flair (it looks like), and I can't be the only one that would have rather seen Jericho and Edge than Jericho and Flair..

Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted August 7, 2002 Hey OJ, did you see when Dreamer came out he took a nacho, then when he left he held up a whole tray of nachos along with his belt? If you did, those were mine(actually they were my friend's who went to buy a shirt during a Dreamer match and learned his lesson by losing $5 worth of nachos). It was pretty cool. Not a bad show, eh?
