Guest papacita Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Ok, I have this running joke with my friends about me being addicted to purple (NOT GRAPE! IT'S PURPLE) Kool-Aid, and I was wondering if any of you have favorite flavors. Well...do you?
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 For me, it's either rainbow punch or lemon-lime. I don't see rainbow punch much anymore, though.
Guest swan Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 My two favorites are grape and red (House Party anyone?)
Guest NoCalMike Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 Remember the "find the kool-aid" man contest back in the late 80's. You had to buy the Kool-aid jug to get the gameboard or whatever it was, and try to collect clues via commercials in order to figure out where the Kool-aid man was abducted to. Oh and my favs. were Tropical punch and rainbow punch
Guest converge241 Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 strawberry lemonade its kinda new and mixing grape and lemonade together
Guest NoCalMike Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 I remember in jr. high girls would dye their hair using kool-aid...
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 i still see plenty Kool-Aid though

Guest converge241 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 "I remember in jr. high girls would dye their hair using kool-aid... " oh thats where Jeff Hardy learned it from
Guest swan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Ah your one of those kids whose mama bought them that sorry ass Flav-or-aid or whatever the hell that shit was.
Guest Matt Young Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 My favorites are tropical punch and that mountain berry blend stuff. Who remembers Purplesaurus Rex? That was my favorite flavor about 10 years ago... Then they discontinued it.
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 Black Cherry is my favourite flavour, followed the classic Cherry. Mmm, Kool-Aid... I was thinking about buying a bunch of packets and taking them to a house show next month.. maybe get some tasty WWE autographs. ...Why not?
Guest Eagan469 Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 These are the flavors they no longer make: Apple Flavor Berry Blue Great Bludini Lime Purplesaurus Rex Mountain Berry Punch Raspberry Sunshine Punch Swimmingo Root Beer Rainbow Punch
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 Orange. For those into the old school flavors, anyone for Ecto Cooler? I once drank a sizeable amount of cheap vodka mixed with the green misery, now I have to fight projectile vomiting if I EVER smell the shit. Haven't seen it on the shelves for a long long time though..
Guest Eagan469 Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 Orange. For those into the old school flavors, anyone for Ecto Cooler? That was a flavor of Hi-C They still sell the flavor, but it's orange colored and called *something* orange. Tastes the same, though.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 that was Hi-C! I'll be damned...the big can..it's all coming back so suddenly. Does anyone remember Five Alive? might've been a regional thing.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 i remember five alvie, it was all the citrus things, i drank that throughout my childhood
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 that was Hi-C! I'll be damned...the big can..it's all coming back so suddenly. Does anyone remember Five Alive? might've been a regional thing. We've had it in Canada for ages. Still do, in fact. Does this make Canada a "region?"

Well, anyplace is a "region" if you want to get all philosophical about it, but I was thinking more along the lines of Seyfert's chips, which I've never seen outside of Northeastern Indiana, definitely a regional item. I wasn't quite sure that Five Alive had gone global..heh.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Black cherry, lime, and I can even vaguely remember liking Pink Swimmingo flavour. And apple flavoured Kool-Aid? That sounds bad.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Sunshine punch~! As far as flavors they still make, good ol' Orange.
