Guest The Superstar Report post Posted August 5, 2002 I opened my new Rock vs. Brock issue of WWE magazine (*groan*) and after flipping through like 20 boring pages talking about Rock and Brock's training regimens I saw an ad for the new Hulk Hogan DVD: Hulk Still Rules. Now, it's *2* DVDs and it comes with *4* hours of bonus footage, including 15 classic matches. I'm not really a hulkamaniac but it should be good to relive classic memories (I'm sure hulk/andre is on there, maybe Hulk/savage, WCW footage, and maybe even Rock/Hogan in its entirety). Thoughts on this?

Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Matches this better have to make it worthwhile: w/Mr. T vs. Piper and Orndorff at WM I vs. Andre at WM III vs. Andre at the Main Event (2/88) -- horrible match, but historic Megapowers vs. Megabucks at Summerslam 88 vs. Savage at WM V vs. Warrior at WM VI vs. Slaughter at WM VII (hey, I liked it) vs. Undertaker at Survivor Series 91 Royal Rumble 92 (more wishful thinking than anything) vs. Flair at BatB 94 Hall/Nash vs. Sting/Luger/Savage at BatB 96 (Hogan introduced as the third man) vs. Goldberg on Nitro in 98 Matches I do NOT want to see: Pretty much anything else, but most notably... w/Beefcake vs. Savage/Zeus at Summerslam 89 vs. Earthquake at Summerslam 90 vs. Sid Justice at WM8 vs. Yokozuna (either time) vs. Vader at Uncensored 95 (the infamous strap match) w/Savage vs. Every Heel In WCW And A Couple They Brought In Specially (the even more infamous Doomsday Cage match) any match with Dennis Rodman any match after 1999 (except vs. Rock at WM X-8, but we can get that DVD for that match)

Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Oh and forgot to mention, they make a huge HBK DVD the size of this Hogan one, and I'm buying it in a second They make one of Hart. I'm buying that one too.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Canadian Chris, the sig is perfect now, and they *might* want to add Hogans first ever title Victory in MSG Yeah, I can see where that might have a place. Throw in his match with Kidman (maybe) from 2000 and I think the list would be a great one.
Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted August 6, 2002 I didnt get to see his Kidman match, though when I heard about it I initially thought "WOW, he's fighting Kidman?" But I can see how that one might be good.... it'd be worth it enough to show that Hogan wasnt just '84-'98. I'd watch it.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted August 6, 2002 They make one of Hart. I'm buying that one too. If they make that one, I'm not sure if I could take what would surely be a constant, uninterrupted tirade by Bret on how Vince is an evil scumbag for profiting off former employees. All of which would be true, but still...

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Maybe they'll pull a HHH dvd...and the matches won't even have Hogan in them. That would rule.
Guest RickyB Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Where is Ric Flair or Shawn Michael's DVD? Screw Hogan. Grow up, there wouldn't even be a Wrestling business if it wasn't for Hogan. And before you say "Vince McMahon made Hogan blah, blah, blah", Hogan was the most over Wrestler and the most consistant draw in North America since his AWA face turn in 1982 - BEFORE he was in the Rocky film. Everyone says "He got lucky with the Rocky role", no, he got the Rocky role BECOUSE he was the most well known Wrestler at the time. Vince McMahon stole him in 1984 because Hogan was sick of having to just be in the chase for the AWA Title instead of actually winning it (Verne Gange believed that the face only drew when he was in the chase for the Title, and not when he actually won it) just like he stole loads of the other major draws at the time (Piper and Hennig for example). Vince did nothing to make Hogan a star exept for having him win the Title off the Iron Sheik. Hogan deserves to have a new DVD made about him because he spent over 25 years in the business and made the Wrestling business mainstream for the first time. Yes, Flair deserves one too, but Hogan did so much more for the BUSINESS. Flair did a lot when it comes to the "sports" side of things with great matches and I am a fan of his, it's just that Hogan did so much to make the business popular with the mainstream, something that Flair couldn't do at the time. I'm sick of all of this "Anti-Hogan" stuff, grow up and just accept the fact that Hogan did more for the BUSINESS than Flair. Shawn Michaels deserves a DVD too. But all it would probably be is a whole 2 hours about how he screwed Bret Hart. Oh, and the main reason why the WWE is releasing a Hogan DVD is because PEOPLE WILL BUY IT. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted August 6, 2002 id like to show the entire segment when he first joined the nWo That would cut into business of the NWO DVD. Although, that DVD was half WWE run footage, and appearantly they didn't think that would cut into WMX8 sales. *shrug* The problem with Flair is some of his best matches are in Japan. Guest claydude14 Report post Posted August 6, 2002 no marks would buy a flair dvd. i know i wouldn't. i'd get an HBK, and i will be getting this hogan one, after i get simpsons season 2 tommorow
Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Shit I forgot I was going to buy that simpsons one.... Either way, The Hogan DVD will be cool A Flair DVD would rock, I dont have a tape of that '92 Rumble, and I'm sure they'd include it An HBK DVD would rock as well, the DX video probably has the most Shawn Michaels on one WWF videocassette, and he's only on for maybe a half hour. Guest pochorenella Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Why did you guys bring up an HBK DVD? Now I won't get good sleep until they DO release it, which will be the Twelvth of Never if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, Michaels is my all-time fave and I would buy his DVD in a second but the possibilities of WWE releasing one are very slim. Same with a Ric Flair DVD, which I would also buy, no doubt. But it would be awesome if WWE shut my mouth and did release this DVDs, PEOPLE WANT THEM! And what would you include on these DVDs? It would be interesting to list each one's choices, but be realistic. I doubt they would include Iron Man matches or Royal Rumbles since they're so damn long. Let's list your choices, people! Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Hmm. Me want RVD DVD with stuff from ECW. Me never get because WWE is stupid.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted August 6, 2002 blah, spend the money on beer. A flair dvd, now that's the stuff...or even a 'best of wcw' one, but like that would EVER happen.
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Hmmm...in Vince's mind, the best of WCW is the InVasion... You could put Eric in charge of it, but it'd be post 1994 and Hulk-alicious. And, of course, Bisch can't gain any power. Now, if they put Flair and some compatent workers on it, it'd be gold.
