Since Jericho turned heel, he has grown a goatee. Also, since he has had that goatee he has been jobbing uncontrolably. I am wondering that if he ever shaved the goatee he would start winning matches and move up to upper midcard status. By the way, Jericho won the undisputed championship without the goatee. Through this explanation, there are simple equations: Jericho + goatee = JOBBING~!

Yeah, I agree. The goatee definitely has to go, or at least trim it up a bit. And also lose the assclown gimmick. I mean, I love Jericho to death, but he really needs to straighten up his character and stop acting like such a jerkoff. That goatee is SUPPOSED to be obnoxious-looking. Just like most of his new tights. And his outfits he wears when he isn't wrestling. And the red ponytail.

 

You're all missing the boat. His character is that he's a flamboyant, outlandish, self-described larger-than-life living legend.

 

That whole look is simply an enhancement of the gimmick.

If Jericho becomes a heel who snaps in a psychotic rampage and tries to kill Triple H, then the thick goatee is forgiven. If he wants a goatee, maybe he should just trim it and make it look nicer. His persona is one of a pretty boy heel who is full of himself. Austin's thick goatee last year fit his Bionic Redneck persona perfectly.
