Guest Downhome Report post Posted August 7, 2002 The following was a news report... "A 43-year-old man with no criminal history, decided to send a fake threat to the Pentagon to test if the system worked. David S. Wollard is accused of sending an email to the Pentagon saying that there would be a "widespread attack on Patrick Air Force Base and the surrounding area," police said. If convicted, Wollard could face up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine." ...now really, why would someone with no record just up and out of nowhere do something so insane? What could posses someone to go and do something like that, purely for sh*ts and giggles? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Vagabond Report post Posted August 7, 2002 Stupidity. He is probably too stupid to realize how serious of a crime it is. Most people who do such things are so stupid and socially inept they are taken aback when they discover the penalties involved for such things.
Guest Phr33k Report post Posted August 7, 2002 Well, because his faith in the system was compromised by one, or maybe several, random occurrences, and he felt compelled to restore that faith by taking drastic action, and he will need to face the cosequences for a simple action that tested the American defense system's overall efficiency. That was smart talk for "Because he's a fuckin' moron." You've all learned someting today.
