I just watched this match, and noticed Vader was bleeding heavily from the ear. Does anyone know what happened? Kind of ironic that Vader's ear was injured just before he ripped off Foley's.

I remeber that Vader was a mess after that match. Man it was brutal! It's been years since I've seen it. I wish I could see it again but living in the UK it's hard to find a copy.

I have never seen the match in it's entirety but I have seen the match in an edited version on WCW Deadly Venom,The Best of Sting and it was pretty good.

I've had the tape for years but that was the first time I had actually watched it all the way through to the Sting/Vader match. I usually just watch the Scorpio/Benoit opener (there are some brutally boring matches in between the opener and the main, such as DBS vs. Bill Irwin, Dustin Rhodes vs. Maxx Payne, and Windham vs. Muta)

I was going to say the same thing but maybe the Hollywood Blondes Vs. Eric Watts and Marcus Bagwell is not in the Turner Version and that might be what he was watching.

Did the Turner version have the Cactus-Orndorff match on it?

 

I hated the Turner versions pre-1994. If they showed complete matches, they'd cut half the card out, but if they showed the whole card, the matches were clipped. Did it take until 1994 for the people at Turner to find out about T-160 tapes?

 

And there's still no complete version of Starrcade 85 in existence. That's another one here half the matches are gone and half of what's there is clipped. They cut Terry Taylor and Buddy Landell to barely 3 minutes, for chrissakes!

 

Stick with PPV versions if you can find them.

What's "EP (SLP)" and what does it mean? Is it the UK version of LP (Long Play)? What I mean is when you can tape 6 hours on a 3 hour tape. Also what was the full match listing of the Turner Home video version of Superbrawl III and what matches were cut out?

LP is actually better quality than EP, at least in Canada. SP is still the best of the three.
