I just quit Petland Discounts!!

In all seriousness- read the classifieds, try to get some connections, go out walking one day and look for help wanted signs.

Maybe you could get a job at the factory where they make computer keyboards.

I admit it was a bad joke. But it's 7 in the morning here, and I haven't slept. Please forgive me.

Silk & Satin is a store in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but I'm pretty sure they have a store in your neck of the woods. It's a lingerie store. My sister's friend works there, but I think you'll love it. ;)

Dude, it's a lingerie store. You wouldn't want to work there anyways. Unless you don't mind seeing some hot chicks, which would be alright. B)

maybe you should concentrate on getting a keyboard first... or with that first paycheck go invest in one :)

Seriously man, being 15, i doubt you'd be able to find many places willing to hire you. Your best bets would be the fast food places, or a grocery store/retail store. Good Luck on your job hunt

I had a friend who got a job working at Safeway(a grocery store) and he was only 15.

I feel your pain NBT. I am 15 as well and can't get a job. I guess I'll wait until I'm 16 and be a lifeguard...

I had to wait until I was 16 to start working. At that time, I worked with my Grandpa mowing lawns. Nothing exciting, but it was money. At first, it was just for the summer. Then, I moved in with him, went to school where he lived, and I had a part-time job working with him, as well as going to school.

in all honesty, working sucks the big one... I'm happier having no money as opposed to getting up early working late and putting up with asshole customers... I'd rather enjoy my summer.

if you need a good reason NOT to work in retail go rent Clerks that movie hit the nail on the head describing MY old job at a drug store...

I worked retail at a Barnes & Noble (the one on 82nd & Bway) for like 4 years (full time, then part time). It really wasn't all that bad. Yeah, there were some customers who were assholes, but there were a lot of nice ones too. I met some really cool people working there, plus towards the end I got lazy and just hung out in the basement all the time, read Penthouses and talked about wrestling with the guys in receiving.

When I was in high school, I knew a girl who worked for Petland Discounts. Maybe they disregard labor laws there or something. You may want to check it out.

I don't mind working that much. I work 35-40 hrs. a week, but I always want more.

I would say try WalMart, as that was my first job, but then I realized that I was 16 and had heat from day 1 because of the Mass. labor law. The law was that anyone under the age of 18 went home at 10PM, regardless of their department being done or not.

I actually worked for RFVideo too, he had a kiosk at the mall in North Attleboro, MA. That company sucks!

Definetely try McDonalds, Wendys, BK, grocery stores, etc. Oh, and get a keyboard with your new pay cheques! (JK)
