WWE thinks that was Raw was good!

"I heard from a few people that senior management in WWE thought Monday's Raw was a home run show. When I hear things like that, it scares me. It really does. "

I know it wasn't a great RAW, but lighten up people! It wasn't that bad. But it wasn't a 'home run' show either.

By the way, the reason they probably thought it was a home run show was because of the HHH angle. They think that HHH=ratings. And realisticly, marks like him. NOt as much as some, but he isn't hated by marks, and they make up a lot of the audience.

That's a problem now that he is a heel. The marks don't hate him or like him. They just don't care about him.

i dont think raw was that bad until the end. you would think that mgmt would realize that the majority of the fans do not like all the backstage shit. the whole semi into the ambulance with hogan and rock killed the angle ,,until skydome fans remembered hogan. i was watching the last skit of raw with my roomates (who were not wrestling fans), and once again i was embarressed to be a wrestling fan

I dunno if they won't hate him, its only been a week since his heel turn. Anyways, HHH was a face for most the show. To WWE, that meant the fans cared, which isn't really true though.

You know why a lot of people don't like backstage segments? Because the live audience doesn't care about backstage segmetns. Without a reaction, the segmetn seems boring.

It was more like a triple play to end the game - Eric Bischoff to HHH to HBK..

Vince also thought the segments with him and the board the week before WM were a 'home run'

Vince McMahon thinks all his shows are "home-runs". It's time to face reality, Mr. McMahon.

The last two weeks of wrestling television have been solid and fun to watch, however I must question Vince's mentality heading into this week's television. Raw, compared to the two previous ones, was a fairly okay show with lackluster buildup. The Triple H/Shawn Michaels segment was overused and stale, and they didn't offer anything new or entertaining in it. Triple H needs to go either fully heel or fully face. The tweener thing might've worked in his feud with Kurt Angle, but it isn't working now. I say he should go Cereberal and become a heel again, because that's what he can do best. Triple H as a face is not very entertaining.

I'm going to give my opinion on RAW.

I thought RAW was okay, but I've seen better. I'll admit that the HHH/HBK thing was alright, but even that could have been better. They built up to who attacked HBK pretty good, by having HHH searching for who done it all night, and at the end, HBK showing video footage of HHH attacking him. The matches were okay, with the exception of Regal & Nowinski vs. ???????????????

So, I'd give RAW a 6.5/10 rating.

Let me make one thing clear for Mr. McMahon:

WE decide when you have a homerun show, NOT you.

WE pay for the tickets and for the PPVs. So what WE think of the product determines how well the product does.

So when WE say "This was an OK show with too much Triple H," that means "This was an OK show with too much Triple H," not "Wow, Jason Giambi would envy that shot into the bleachers."

Simple as that. When the live crowd was bored for the final interview, I'd hardly call your "payoff" a home run.

Stick to good wrestling and keep this backstage shit to a minimum.

Dude, that is so true. I don't see where Vince McMahon gets off determining whether or not his shows are "homerun" shows. He doesn't pay for cable to watch RAW and Smackdown. He doesn't pay $30 to order a PPV. He certainly doesn't pay $100 for a ringside ticket. Vince, let us, the fans decide what's a "homerun" show. Now, let's get Vince McMahon to come to the SM and read what we think.

you know...

Rasmus may be on to something.

Now that he's a heel...and he won't get face pops for that stupid entrance...

I wonder if his in ring work will be exposed to the until now blinded by the applause sign crowd.

the only skit that was entertaining was Mini Dust.

1 King asking if Molly was a virgin was stupid

2 Nowinski wanting to be Molly's 1st made better sense

3 Monday Night Jericho was just a waist of time, HHH coming in killed it

4 HHH interigating the RAW wrestlers and getting caught was a total waist of time, the video footage killed the angle, worst climax ever

As much as I hope so, our heralded founder of the HHHaters...

We're talking markish, WWE fans. I guess you can argue Hogan's pops are because he's a face, but I doubt if being a heel will change his reaction much.

BTW, what is the consensus on HHH in Canada? It seemed the reaction was apathy last time they were up there when he was actually a face.

As a Canadian, I find Triple H very boring in his promos now. But if they do the HHH/HBK feud when they come to Canada, I'm not sure what the fans will think about Triple H, but I'm pretty confident that HBK isn't going to get a good reaction for bringing up Brets name last week.

I figure that wouldn't be a factor in it anyway, because Canadians hate HBK regardless, due to Montreal. However, him bringing it up should cement him as being hated. However, the fans know it's just an angle, and that HHH is still good buddies with him...so wouldn't mind seeing HHH getting some rather unflattering chants.

Raw wasn't bad overall, but it wasn't good either. The final segment was really, really bad. My mom thought it was bad. Even my sister thought it was stupid.

I mean, how convenient does it get in WEE!?

This Canadian will second that.

He gets too much mike time, and I hate the way everything down to his bowel movements are projected as the most important things ever.

Coach: [stopping HHH before he enters the men's room] Triple H! Will you be doing number one, or number two?

HHH: You want an answer? I'll give you an answer....at SummerSlam. Then you'll know whether I went number one or two. Because I am the game, and I am that damn good!

JR: Their you have it folks. The big question: Triple H? Number one or two? Find out at SummerSlam!

Plus he just doesn't deliver in the ring, and hasn't for some time.

As for HBK, I am hoping there's just a little bit of karma still out there waiting for the right moment to nail him.

Heheh...well, I actually was wondering what the average Canadian "mark" thinks of--because here, it seems most have the same opinion.

BTW Jester, hilarious post--and oh so true--mind if I use it for my sig?

And I want one of the "The Game's Promos Go On Forever" shirts. :P

Some marks may have liked it. My mom and sister (as did I) used to be marks, then just casual fans. They watched it with me lately, if only because I took the TV first. The problem with it now is that the marks might be able to conform it to their imagination, but a casual fan sees it as really, really stupid. The product can't block out casual fans. It can't lower its intelligence level like last night's show just because it's easier to do and the marks won't care. It has to stay intelligent and good consistently, with continuity but not so much to edge out new viewers. It should have something that links each show together. The best matches should be reserved for PPV, but a probable good matchup is still not enough to get everyone to pay 30 dollars. There has to be story, drama, and a hype with enough steam to make it a total explosion. Although things right now aren't great, dropping everything and starting for scratch AGAIN will only hurt you. Work with what you got and up it legitamately. Your a multimillion dollar corporation. Your writers better damn well mirror that.

Y'know, I'm going to get sick of writing the same thing every other week. The WWE better not make me write it again.
