Tool's Schism. What the fuck? Bad Band, Bad Song, Stupid Video.

Now, now, let's not Tool bash. The Schism video is very good, just like all of their other videos, it's odd.

 

I don't understand Papa Roach's new video for "She loves me Not". I get that the kids are fucked up physically, but the video itself is weak.

I don't get the video for Sam Robert's "Brother Down". The song is awesome, but I don't understand how it ties in with a bunch of guys floating around in a boat.

 

And I HATE that Tool video.

i think that kid's meant to be a sort of accelerated form of western ideals or something, i dunno. And i love the tool videos, especially the parbola one. Not entirely sure what the hell's going on, but i like it.

My interpretation of the SOAD "Aerials" video..

 

The kid is a freak, from the "circus". We know this because that's where the video starts off, in a circus tent, where SOAD is performing below a trapeeze act.

 

He likes the good life, the models, the cars that bouncy bounce bounce, and all that other good stuff.

 

Eventually, he begins to resent the fame, the fortune, whatever, and he freaks out (first noted by the meeting with the executive).

 

The boy then makes a scramble back to his home in the "circus". Eventually he comes to love his home again, and falls asleep there, in total comfort.

 

There you go, my interpretation of the video.

 

And no, I'm not gonna interpret Deron Malkian's little hand wavey thing towards the end.
