Question for the Mods

Can you guys delete entire threads?

 

If so, on Monday nights or PPV Sundays, wouldn't it be appropriate to delete some of the copycat threads without prejudice. i know most of the mods are on at these times so i don't see how it would be a major inconvenience. it seems if a big angle goes down (example: hhh-hbk snorefest) then thirty people feel their opinion should warrant a new thread. it's fucking overkill. ELIMINATE the 500 extra threads...please?

if this were to occur, we wouldnt lose every decent thread off the front page as soon as something happens. go back to the "one-and-only" idea. and if people are repeat offenders, can you implement 24 hour bans or something, this would really make the entire board experience better.

Yes, "Delete This Topic" is an option under the "Topic Commands" menu. I think I've used it a couple times for things that were too ridiculous and/or offensive to merit simple closing.

 

The suggestion certainly sounds reasonable to me.
