Whether in instigation or retaliation, a flame is a flame. There's always the option to ignore the guy who comes here screaming his head off, hurling insults and curse words.

Don't worry about it too much, man. Just don't do it again. Next time someone does something to flame you just let it go and notify one of the mods via PM. I'd assume they check their PM box fairly often to see if there's any concerns from the posters.

I don't see how a discussion is actually flaming. I mean, sure, a couple of them were flames (namely when I just called him a moron), but the majority of my posts were pretty much me laying out the reasons why Slipknot wasn't metal, and him just flat-out calling me an Austrian with a bad mustache.

I'm not sure it warranted a warning either. I don't think there's anything wrong with a little spirited discussion. And if neither of you guys had any complaints about it... I don't know. Civility is overrated.

Somebody obviously complained about it, and instead of just PMing me and Sebastian to tell us to stop, they went right to the authorities-at-hand.

 

That's what pisses me off about people: they have a problem with you and, if it's not obvious, they don't make it obvious by telling you so.

I agree with Corey... we should have gotten a PM instead of someone narking on us. But I guess some of the discussion was out of line, but that's what happens when friends come over :-D
