Tully316 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 If that was the case, instead of bringing in Paul Roma (which we ALL know was probably one of THE worst booking moves in wrestling history), how well do you think that heel combination would have gone over?
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 We'd have been denied that AWESOME Clash 2/3 falls match... But then, Paul Roma would have never been a tag champion OR beaten one of the best teams ever... dammit, I'm torn here.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 All right, a thread on my fave team, ever! I think it would have led to them eventually trying to usurp Arn and Flair, leading to an extended feud. Man, Steamboat/Douglas vs. Arn/Flair OR Pillman/Austin...shit, I shudder to think what could have been!
Guest Drury37 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 If you want to know how good Douglas and Steamboat Vs. Austin and Pillman could be just check out WCW Clash of the Champions XXII,it has a match for the WCW Tag Team Titles between Douglas and Steamboat Vs. Austin and Pillman. Thanks.
Tully316 Posted August 10, 2002 Author Report Posted August 10, 2002 The Blonds are my favorite team of all time, truly ahead of their time. They got over when they weren't supposed to; that I think is what makes them so cool. Anybody have any Blonds compilation tapes?
Guest Bloodice Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 The blonds were so ahead of their time. I could see them with arn and flair that would've been something else. And just think we could've had the harlem heat vs the blonds or the nwo vs the blonds. It's such a shame that austin went out with such an injury because had he been healty no telling how far he could've gone in wcw and how things would've been different. Austin and pillman were like a fne chemical unit. The perfect element
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 It could have led to Flair & Arn passing the torch to Austin & Pillman after about 6 months to a year of teaming together. Austin & Pillman could get huge heel heat by saying they want nothing to do with Flair & Arn's "torch" and they are washed up has-beens, etc. This could lead to a long feud that would draw some good money, with Austin going over Flair for the World title in the end.
Guest Downhome Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 I don't know where it would have taken wrestling, but it would have been one of my personal mark out moments of all time. As long as they still did their taut, it would've been great... ...*does camera taunt*!
Guest BigTim2002 Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 Don't think it would have ever happened given that they made fun of Flair, with that "Flair of the Old" segment (which rocked bells, by the way), but after Flair became a heel again, and if they team would have stayed together (FUCK YOU, WCW!) if they join, and booted Roma, HO-LY SHIT! I'd love that shit.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 I don't know where it would have taken wrestling, To***** matches between Flair and Austin
Guest Austin3164life Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 I don't know where it would have taken wrestling, To***** matches between Flair and Austin One of my dreams was to see Austin go over Flair for the WCW World Title. Although, had that happened, what would've became of the WWF?
Guest the 1inch punch Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 We wouldnt be watching it, i think
Guest BigTim2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 I think it could have been that way
Guest Vern Gagne Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 We'd have been denied that AWESOME Clash 2/3 falls match... Sure we would of just at a later date. This was actually something I was thinking of posting here. IMO...it would of worked out well. Of course Hogan has to ruin everything.
Tully316 Posted August 20, 2002 Author Report Posted August 20, 2002 When Pillman joined the Horsemen in 95, who else thought (or prayed like I did) that Austin was the 4th member?
