Guest TheLostGracie Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I would personally love to see the semifinals be Royce Gracie vs Ken Shamrock & Tito Ortiz vs. Dan Severn, with Ortiz & Gracie locking up in the finals. For this to work though, all men would have to be the fighters they are (were) in their prime
Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted February 23, 2002 The idea is that they are all at their current ages...
Guest Hardwire Report post Posted February 23, 2002 Coleman or Royce. Tito will get eaten alive by the gigantic wrestlers like Kerr, Severn, and Coleman. Miletich will get squashed. Tank will get the crap kicked out of him. Valerans would get murdered by any of these guys, and goodrdge will probably get G&P.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 23, 2002 could I add some Pride FC: Renzp Gracie Kazushi Sakuraba Igor Vovchanchyn vs Tank Abbot Vanderiel Silvia Guy Mezger a cross promotion Super Grand Prix would make a great PPV in USA!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest Miami Beach Bad Boy Report post Posted March 2, 2002 Coleman or Royce. Tito will get eaten alive by the gigantic wrestlers like Kerr, Severn, and Coleman. Miletich will get squashed. Tank will get the crap kicked out of him. Valerans would get murdered by any of these guys, and goodrdge will probably get G&P. Tito is just about the same size as Kerr and Coleman, so he wouldn't get "eaten alive" like you said. BTW, Tito would be my pick to win the whole tournament. Guest Tomato Can Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Coleman and Kerr would both have 30-40 pounds on Tito. Tito's whole game is his wrestling ability and power. To his credit, he uses them both with great effect, and is rightfully the #1 LHW in the world, but Coleman and Kerr are way too big and would eat him alive. I'd give the tournament to Coleman. Royce is my sentimental pick but I think the guys in this field are past the point talent-wise where Royce could overcome the weight advantage as easily as he did in the early UFCs. Guest Hit Squad Report post Posted March 5, 2002 Frank Shamrock, most of the guys there wouldn't last because of age.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted March 5, 2002 Coleman would be my pick to win too. But, a lot of it would depend on the pairings. If a certain fighter is exhausted by a long match, his chances to win will be greatly diminished (Sakuraba in the Pride Grand Prix is a great example). I LOVE tourneys though and I want to see more of them. I am really excited for the Grand Prix this year.
Guest NineSpiral Report post Posted March 5, 2002 my pick? Fred Ettish, hands down.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted March 5, 2002 heh.. a tourney of all the famous losers in UFC would be cool too. Just so one of them could finally win something. I'd put in Ettish, Matua, Joe Son, Herrera (my all time favorite loss, this is the guy who got crucifixed instantly and took about 10+ sickening elbows to the head), who else lost spectacularly?
