I'm Road Tripping to San Diego Next Week

On Monday, some friends are picking me up (at 6AM? Awwww.... ) and we're gonna drive down to San Diego, CA (about 8-9 hours) for a couple days, then driving to L.A. for a day, then camping out for a day. I should be back on Friday, so you won't miss my Velocity column. I'm going to try to put in one more column and my Velocity column and then I'm pretty much out.

 

My other reason for posting this (so that there aren't any "where's evenflowDDT?" posts next week) is are there any board users in San Diego? If so, can you recommend any good restaurants or hip-n-happening places? We don't really have any itinerary planned as of yet, but they want to go sailing and jet-skiing and I want to go to the zoo
