I think the WWE has two options for SS.

 

1. If Rocky wins... Have Brock turn face and feud with Benoit. Have Rock drop the strap clean to Angle to let him film "Helldorado". Then have RVD feud with Angle for the World Title, while Jericho battles Booker.

 

2. If Brock wins... Have Brock crush the comptetion until dropping the strap to a top RAW face, either Booker or RVD. Then turn him face, and have Paul E. unveil a new proyagee to challenge Brock. On SD!, Let Mysterio feud with Benoit, Cena with Guerraro, and Angle with Edge.

Both options are good, but I'd like to see the second option more. Seeing as how Lesnar is receiving this monster push, that would fit perfectly with his gimmick. The way the WWE could debut this new superstar is to have him run in while Lesnar is defending the WWE Undisputed Title against someone, and have this superstar screw Lesnar out of the WWE Undisputed Title. This would not only give us a new WWE Undisputed Champion, but it would also turn Lesnar face.

I don't know where WWE would go with Brock as champion. The only two guys I can see beating him for the title are Undertaker or HHH. Booker T or RVD as WWE champion? Yeah right. That will never happen. I guess they could take the Edge push to the next level and have him win the title, but I don't think he is ready yet, although Brock isn't either so I guess that doesn't matter. They have also been hinting at a Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar match, but I think they are saving that until a bigger PPV and give it alot of hype. i think one of them will have to turn face first too. Having Brock as champion sure isn't going to make ratings and attendance jump back up though if that is what you mean by "is business about to pick up". The only thing that will do that is violent edgy storylines, which made WWF #1 in the first place back when Russo was writing.

1. Rock doing a (semi) clean job to Benoit in a tag match is about as close as anyone's going to get to beating the guy clean. There's just no way they're putting Angle over Rock, and Rob isn't nearly at the levle where he can draw or look legitament as a challenger for the World Title. Far-fetched at best.

 

2. Brock's already been crushing the competions, hasn't he? Neither Booker nor RVD are top faces, as the show is almost completely centered around HHH right now. If anyone's getting the strap soon, it's him. The "Heyman gets a new protege" idea actually sounds appealing, but at the same time, you have to get people to care about Brock, and heel or face, I just don't see that happening.

Being at the juncture that we are at currently, it's very hard to say what can happen after Summerslam. The booking has been lackluster, at best. I see Triple H (yawn) regaining the WWE Title because Austin and The Rock have won it 6 and 7 times, and he's won it 5.

Hey, I stopped giving a fuck about the "Undisputed Title" about three months after it's inception, so HHH can go fornicate with the thing for all I care. As far as I'm concerned, it has no lineage from either the WWF or WCW World Titles. None.

 

Anyway, this feud with Shawn is a blatant attempt to get HHH over enough to the point that he can hold the world title and not bomb as champion. While I'm by no means happy with the guy of present, he does still do good numbers, and would make a much better champion than Brock will. You see, in times like this, the WWE needs to put the title on an established star who the fans are used to seeing with the World Title (ie: Rock or HHH) and then build up a new star to dethrone him. They've got the right idea with Rock (even though he's not around nearly enough to justify getting the title) but they're executing the part with Brock horribly, and it will fail as a result. Once they put it on HHH, they can give him a solid title run (something Rock couldn't provide) while building up a challenger to beat him. This is all hypothetical, but also seemingly the most logical move, because as of now they're fixing to put a strap already tainted by horrible title reigns (the closest thing to a credible champion was Taker, for the love of God) on someone with no heat who will just send it into the land of titles no one could care less about. To paraphrase Owen Hart "enough is enough, and it's time to stop fucking up everything."

I *really* wouoldn't want more title changes to the Top title.....and after this next one that may come up....it'll only trash the belt more, so they either keep it on Rock to give to Angle or someone worthy, or stick it on Brock and let him have it for a good while. It can't be whored around. Shouldn't.

I think that either Brock holds it for a LONG time...or it really bombs and they throw it on Angle.
