Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 The title is pretty self-explanitory
Guest JHawk Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 I do. Is there a reason you're asking?
Guest El Gigante Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 I do that was the night HBK delivered his famous "I've lost my smile" speach, and also when Rocky won the IC title.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 I remember that show. Why you asking?
Guest Drury37 Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 Yeah I remember it,I always liked when they would put WWF Raw on Thursdays or Saturdays.Does anyone else remember WWF Friday Night's Main Event from 1997,they had it on for a few weeks while the 1997 U.S. Open was going on which blocked out WWF Raw on Monday's so they put on WWF Friday Night's Main Event and it was on at like 10:00pm. Thanks.
Guest papacita Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 Friday Night's Main Events were cool, but I've got an even better one... Who remembers RAW CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY?!?!?!?!
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 10, 2002 Report Posted August 10, 2002 Of course. I mean, it was only 5 years ago. Why?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Because it had the lamest name EVER. "Thursday RAW Thursday"? Whaaaaaa?
Guest nWoScorpion Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 I'm pretty sure it had another name too, but i can't remember.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 NO! The 1300th post has Jeff Hardy under my avatar. Boo i want a title. lol
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 The other name was Titan Strikes Back. It was called that backstage and on the internet.
Guest converge241 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 my home state baby Lowell, MA Rocky wins the IC title Shawn loses smile (and was supposed to lose title to Sid)
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 No, he was supposed to lose it to Bret, not Sid at WM 13. Sid had already bombed as champ.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 I wouldnt actually say that they "Struck Back". The show really didnt make much of an impact. I dont understand why because there was a Headbangers vs Bob Holly and Aldo Montoya match.
Guest converge241 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 he was supposed to lose it to Sid on Raw and then regain it to lose to Bret @ 13. Final four was to be Shawn-Sid-Austin-Bret, with the title being defended as opposed to a held up title match. when Shawn-Bret WMME II fell apart then you had the 4 way for the held up title and Austin was to win and job to Sid the next night to set up Sid-Taker and Bret-Austin. Austin hurt his knee in the match and they audibled for Bret to have the quickie reign. Shawn really got out of 2 jobs, one to Sid and one to Bret.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Thanks, for the info. Great sig. dude. Tuco World Order 4 Life
Guest JMTapes Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 The Lowell Auditorium rocked. Literally not a bad seat in the house. Then they built the Tsongas Arena...arrghhh. And, yeah, I remember Raw Championship Friday. How could anyone forget the debut of the Sultan? -Jim www.jmtapes.com
Guest SlowChemical6 Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I still don't understand why it wasn't just Thursday Night RAW.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I still don't understand why it wasn't just Thursday Night RAW. Because the WWF was desperate for ratings back then and I guess the thought the name would bring in viewers. If im not mistaken the show only managed a 2.3 rating unopposed which was around what they were doing on Mondays against Nitro.
Guest Crippler15 Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 The I lost my smile interview is still one of the most amusing things I have ever heard.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 The I lost my smile interview is still one of the most amusing things I have ever heard. Maybe i should use that excuse whenver i dont wanna do something at my job.
Guest papacita Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 The I lost my smile interview is still one of the most amusing things I have ever heard. I cried during that interview. I seriously bought it as legit. Had Shawn's forfeiting the title not led to Chyna joining the WWF, I'da been pissed when I found out.
