Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Man, when I look around on this board, I see a whole bunch of Slamball trashing. Some people compare it to the XFL, but is it really that bad? I wasn't exactly hooked on the first show that occured after Raw, but right now, I'm loving it. Sure, there are no real fundamentals to the game and well, the games are never even close either, but I still just enjoy it for the action. Despite the lack of fundamentals, Slamball is pretty much amazing dunks that we all dream of seeing and its always fast paced. The dunks are spectacular and the blocks are amazing, its just like NBA Jam come to life. The only problem I see is that its not on at a great time. Saturday nights, whose home at that time? Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted August 11, 2002 I believe there's a thread around here somewhere that talks about Slamball. My roommates and I like it and we have watched it the past two weeks after RAW has gone off.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted August 11, 2002 I just want to know why they have coaches. How the hell do you coach a Slamball team? "Alright guys, we need to take it to the hole more. And Willie, when you're in the air and the defender's in your face, why don't you just do a flip or something? Come on y'all, we need defense."
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted August 11, 2002 They have coaches because...well....you can still do plays on a Slamball court...making it that much wackier to watch.... Pick And Rolls on Trampolines~!
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Most of what I saw was... 1. Team A dribbles to about half court 2. Team A tries a pass 3. Team B intercepts that pass 4. Fast break for Team B If the initial pass wasn't intercepted, someone on Team A either took a 3 or tried to dunk within a few seconds. No one passes more than twice per possession. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted August 11, 2002 I don't think they should put cameras in the locker rooms at halftime because those pep talks are embarrasing to watch.
