Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted August 11, 2002 WWE really needs to start doing something with Rico. He is great in the ring and the crowd really gets on him during matches and he gets alot of heat. They need to push this guy to midcard atleast.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 11, 2002 What makes this thread great is that Rico legitimetly is more over as a heel than Benoit, Eddy and Brock. It's true.
Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Yes, I TOTALLY agree. Rico is a deserving talent and they should strike while the iron is hot if you will. Besides, you'd definitely think they'd take advantge of him since he is getting up there in age as well. Oh well, maybe they will do something, maybe they won't. If they don't Rico will just have to join the other 90% of the roster that is wasted in the WWE.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 11, 2002 I've become a big Rico mark for some reason and I think they should give him a mini-push and see where it goes. I think at SummSlam they should do- B-n-C/Rico v. 3 Count/John Cena It'd be a fun match to fire up the crowd EDIT: Oh wait- it'll be a fun match to make the crowd look up or something. (Realised it was Nassau Coliseum)

The trio have enough heat to get the crowd into it right away.. and the others have the fresh new talent to also get the crowd on their feet.. lets cross our fingers
Guest Guy Stokes Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Whos this Rico. Guy Stokes dont know him. Tell me about him. whats his M.O. you know what am talking about. Is he popular with the kids. Guy can dig that
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Judging from Velocity this evening, you can replace Cena with Hardcore Holly, and have yourself a very likely Summerslam six man tag.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Yes but then this opens up Cena to face one of the Radicalz which may cause me to vomit
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Can't you smell the Cena over Eddy and Edge over Benoit double shot at SummerSlam? CAN'T YOU FEEL IT?????????????? Meanwhile...RVD over Steven Richards on Heat. ahh...the brand extension.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Rico gets that ambigious Gay heat, but He can be pushed as a legit wrestler. I believed that because JR kept pushing for RICO to make it onto WWF TV I bet the WWF management sorta punished JR and Rico for him trying to push a 40 plus Rookie wrestler over the new comers by making Rico a Heel Stylist oye. Wonder if Pat Patterson likes the angle?
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Why not have a four way for the IC Title? Benoit, Guerrero, Cena & Edge could easily rock. Edge showed he can keep up in his feud with Angle, and the combined forces of Benoit and Guerrero could overpower the suckiness that is Cena.

I can see it now- Cena wins by giving everyone THE GAY SLAP OF DEATH
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Could Rico/Holly be the Goldust/Ramon for the new millenium? Time will tell....
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Nooooooooooooooooo- Rico/Gay Boys v. ummm Gay Boys is the way to go. If Rco blocks the GAY SLAP OF DEATH, hits one of his own and gets the pin- automatic ****
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 11, 2002 mmmm, a Cena/Rico feud. HOT HOMOEROTIC ACTION~! Every match is *****, from where I sit.

Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 11, 2002 So much man-on-man action! I give it ********************! ::thinks about Rasmussen:: Have I committed gimmick infringement, yet?
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted August 11, 2002 This is about Rico. Rico was probably behind the scenes a conditioning coach (physical conditioning, not hair conditioning) whom some officials thought it would be a lark to put on TV. He got what Cordelia Chase would say 'gay man's taste'. And his character is not really offensive, just flamboyant.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Jesus, talk about totally random teams... at least make it Goldust/Bradshaw and Rico/Cena, since that way at least the brands are matched up right. I'd love to see B&C w/ Rico vs. 1-2-Kickout &... Hardcore Holly? Oh... well, if "Hardcore" lets his name-sake and true presence be felt (and I don't mean with a trash-can ), maybe he can be salvageable. I think the reason not much is being done with Rico is that he's "too old". Of course, that never stopped Hogan...
Guest Ram Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Rico has nine years until he's Hogan's age, and if he's better than Hogan was in 1993 right now, then what's the problem? He could at least stick around until his quality control is lost. The only problem with him is that looks alot like Steven Richards. Without the job factor..yet, anyway. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 12, 2002 Why does everyone hate Cena so much? Except for the promos, I enjoy watching him.
Guest notJames Report post Posted August 12, 2002 It's not so much hate as an inability to justify the big push. Sure, he's solid in the ring with his limited offense, but he's just as indistinguishable and green as guys like Randy Orton. So why is he enjoying such exposure when there are other, more marketable and interesting characters they could be pushing, like Batista? As for Rico, I'll bet he wouldn't be getting half his heat without the hairdresser gimmick. It's a sure thing playing up the gay factor to get a wrestling crowd against you. Just ask Adrian Adonis. Oh wait, you can't...

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted August 12, 2002 I'll just chime in here. Rico fucking rocks in all ways. He even made Billy Gunn tolerable Orton = Cena + Winning Smile Cena = Sting - Talent. This is no way means that Sting was extremly talented but he's certainly better than Cena. In Japan, a double bitch slap would be a supremly devestating finisher. Holly jokes = yes
