Guest Flyboy Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Sorry, I might be the only one excited by this at all, but... as I was at the movies (saw the Martin movie which was WAY better than I expected), I saw a poster for a Tuck Everlasting movie! I loved the book (don't know why), and I never really thought of them making a movie about it. So... um... discuss. And stuff.

It'll just give them a reason not to read the book. It wasn't even the best book I read that year for school. That honour goes to "Bridge to Terebithia (sp?)".

I just never really thought of them making a movie about it, and now since they are (or have for that matter), I was kinda excited about it.

There are 2 movie versions, and the newest one which came out (ironically enough) in 1984 has nudity in it and our teacher (this is like 10th grade) didnt know it. Needless to say she screamed "shut your eyes! shut your eyes" as she ran to the VCR to fast forward it..
Guest godthedog Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 i'm excited, cause i loved the book as a kid & haven't even thought about it in years, but making a movie out of it is like playing with fire. it would be as if someone were to try to make a big budget movie of the chronicles of narnia. it BETTER fucking be good, or else.

'raging bull' outdid the book. of course...'raging bull' had martin scorsese, robert de niro & paul schrader working on all cylinders, while 'tuck everlasting' has...well, no one worth noting.
