They need to release a "Black Metal Wrestling" game. That would be sweet. Axes, painted faces, and fire. Add in FMW type matches and you'll have a winner.

Power Move isn't a license. I'm referring to licensed games. And that was actually a conversion of a import game--I believe based on New Japan Pro Wrestling. Therefore, doesn't really count.

There better be plenty of blood, and if it plays like Backstage Assault, it's screwed. Of course, people will buy it anyway.

Well, most likely it will play similar to No Mercy and not Backstage Assault, and if it does then I'll buy it no matter who is in it.

That is true based on what is out(but isn't Simpson's Wrestling about it?), but you really must consider that AKI is making the game.

If it is a good wrestling game, it doesn't matter who's in it, as long as it has enough caw slots to make a good number of actual wrestlers, then you don't have to touch the rappers.

Wow, reading this thread just made me laugh.

"WOW, who would want to play that game?"

In fairness, at the time all signs pointed towards EA using the Mayhem/Backstage Assault engines, but still.

It's really a testament to both

a) the strength of the AKI brand (hey, I sound like Linda McMahon), and

b) just how bad an idea the WCW rap VS country angle was.

Do a search with "Def Jam" for this folder. You'll find more than this one.

When I posted this, I didn't know that AKI was doing the engine.

Granted the engine is good, but I still hate the rap license; I wish that AKI would've done something on the Indy Wrestling scene. Granted, the game would've tanked, but MY NEEDS COME FIRST, DAMMIT~!

I found a possible good deal over on FatWallet.

Def Jam Vendetta for $4.95 (For the Gamecube version anyway..) plus tax shipped free.

First of all you need to register at http://eastore.ea.com/

Then do a search for Def Jam Vendetta under the action category of your prefered console. I know for a fact its $29.95 on the gamecube, I didnt check prices for PS2 or X Box.

When it comes time to check out, put the following codes in the box for coupons, one at a time hitting continue after each:

$10 off : CS10OFF

$15 off : CS15OFF

Free Ship: CSFREESHIP

Bam. $4.95 plus tax shipped. These codes might come up something about will not accept, but just keep trying, it will eventually accept them. The codes also work on any of the games that EA sells so you could get other games cheaply as well.

I say that this deal is possible because EA might cancel all the orders, but who knows.

I put my order in and it got accepted so we'll see.
