Greatest Fighting Game Memories

Guest What?

When I first moved to California from Oregon six years ago, I regularly went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, where they had Virtua Fighter 3. I, as Lion, am virtually unbeatable (that's right...Lion) and I was nearly at the final boss when this semi-big surfer dude walks up with his girlfriend beside him, pops in his quarter and challenges me. He looks at me, the little ten year old that's using the fighter most scoff at, and he slightly chuckles, then picks fuckin' Akira...Akira for christ sake...

anyway, he kisses his girlfriend and says "I'll be done in a sec." and our fight starts. 15 seconds later, Lion KO's Akira. I smile and await the next fight. 20 seconds later, Lion KO's Akira in a "Flawless Victory" (I know that's a Mortal Kombat term). I then continue from where I left off as the guy stands there for about five seconds, then walks away. HA HA!!!

Shit, did I feel good after that. I hope this teaches you all a lesson: When you see a ten year old owning at an Arcade game, leave him be.

Lion sucks, i really hate the praying mantis style he has.

But yeah something like that happend to me on a VF2 machine a long long time ago.

This button basher had picked Jackey and he was beating novice after novice with nothing but kicks. I picked Akira and it was Stun palm of doom time.

I also remember being totally thrashed by a tru pro at Virtual On...

When your 10, aracades eat your moeny and you become super good...i remember those days, suckers always think they could beat me and my friends, when you spend like 4 hours a day practicing, there aint no way. My friend ounce pulled off like a 100+ combo on Killer Instant, the guy walked away after he was at like 50.

Me and five friends played a mix of Tekken Tag, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Dead Or Alive for 36 straight hours.

I went to the Gameworks at Dallas, Texas, when Capcom vs Marvel was the big game. I was on 5 game winning streak, when the one of the employees challenged me. Well he took the team of Mega Man & Ryu, my team was Captian America & Wolverine. Well he tried the cheap combos of Collusis as the striker then hitting the projection fireball special, well after losing the 1st round I came up with a cheap combo of my own. I did a 5 hit air combo with Cpt America then followed up with the double kick & X wolverine air combo. Well it did not do a 30 hit combo as the projection one of Mega Man but it did as much damage if not more, plus it got the guy mad.
