I know most of us here dislike the fact Brock will be the Undisputed Champ in a little while..

 

..but how will everybody take it? Am I the only one that thinks we've got Mabel II on our hands?

Really, SOMEONE needs to hold the goddamn belt longer than a friggin' month, already. Sabotaging everything just for a nostalgia run has basically killed off whatever prestige the title had any hope of garnering.

I would rather the belt bounce around from Benoit, RVD, Eddie, etc... from now untill WM rather than Brock hold it 'till then. So no, I wont be one of those people saying that, unless (yes there is an unless)...

 

...unless Brock begins to develop. I'm sure he can still grow even as champ, the only question is if he will or not.

As far as Lesnar's upcoming reign is concerned, I wouldn't mind him holding it to October or November since it would kill the damn belt from being bounced from person to person evry other week. And, as long as they give Brock different opponents than the usual(Taker, Hogan, Flair, Hardys), I wouldn't bitch at all.

Taker used it to elevate a few people (he made RVD and Jeff Hardy look good - to bad Jeff isn't doing anything now). The early part, humiliating n00bs like Dreamer, wasn't too cool, but the last month and a half was pretty good, I thought.

Echoed one hundred percent.

 

These are the guys who are always over and can take a loss. At this point, with the exception of sometimes winnin' Taker: jobbers to the stars.

 

Benoit, Eddie, or Angle are the guys I'd like to see work an extended program with Brock. Mostly just because I think they'd hold up their end well enough and bump solidly enough to maybe make something out of it.

So either they have to turn EVERYONE on the roster to accomidate Brock...

Fuck it. You all know what will happen. HHH will pull an Nash and annihilate Brock in 5 minutes to get the title YET AGAIN, because he has INTENSITY!!!

I know that the Rock is leaving shortly after SummerSlam to start shooting another movie. And I know he faces Brock at the PPV. So, everybody and their sister is assuming this locks up the title for Brock Lesnar.

 

I don't know how they are going to get the belt off the Rock, but I'm telling you, it's not going to be Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Lesnar is not winning that match.

 

Besides, doesn't anyone else here think that an Undisputed Championship match on free TV, featuring the Rock would be a nice little ratings boost during all the season premieres? Who is to say that the Rock doesn't survive the SummerSlam main event, only to job the belt away to somebody like Kurt Angle on SmackDown the first week of September. I don't think UPN would have a problem with that at all...

While people loathe the fact of Triple H being World Champion, he probably would've been a better champion than Hulk Hogan was. I think Hogan really devalued the belt. People here fail to see that because Hogan is their childhood hero. When you see guys like Jericho and Triple H (two stars in the industry) win the belt, it makes sense because they are not about to retire. Then, all of a sudden, a barely 30 year old Triple H loses the World Title to a 50 year old near-retiring legend. Fans then thought, "Man, anyone can win the World Title". And that attitude was the norm for 1999, when 11 World Title changes happened that year in the WWF.
