Guest Seven Churches Report post Posted February 3, 2002 What is everyone's opinions on the outcome of this fight in March? Personally, I see Ortiz coming out on top. While Belfort has awesome stand-up with his fists and thorough BJJ skills. I don't think Tito is going to allow his reign of terror to end just yet. Tito's ground n' pound will be too much for Belfort in my opinion and I see the fight being stopped with Tito landing strikes in Belfort's guard (much like Tito's fight with Sinosic). I think Belfort's chances at beating Tito would improve greatly if this fight took place in a ring as opposed to the octagon where Tito could not gnp against the fence. Rumor also has it that this may be Belfort's last fight because he wants to go star in Brazilian soap operas (wtf?). Judging by the comments from both fighters so far this is weighing heavily on Tito's mind and if he loses he may never get a rematch. Tito has too much to lose, and that's why I don't think he'll do just that...
Guest Miami Beach Bad Boy Report post Posted February 3, 2002 I thought I already posted a thread on this last night. ::looks at Pegasus Kid for answers:: Tito Ortiz injured his knee in training and the fight will most likely be cancelled. He was supposed to have seen a doctor last night and results (plus Zuffa's decision) should be released today. If the fight still happens, I think this will give Vitor an advantage that he probably didn't have going into it. But in the end, I'm going with Tito beating Vitor the same way he beat Sinosic.
