Guest C.H.U.D. Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 After a monster release last week, this week is really slow, which is okay because I still have to pick up some stuff from last week. Plus, the next two weeks (especially 8/27) will be much bigger. Can't Buy Me Love One of my favourite 80's comedies finally comes to DVD. Unfortunately, the DVD sucks. Check out the specs: full frame, 2.0 stereo surround. That's it. Not even a trailer. Lame. In The Bedroom In my opinion, this was one of the best movies of 2001. If you haven't seen it, I would suggest renting it. It's not recommended for people with short attention spans though, because some people find it's pace rather slow. The DVD is bare bones, so I may hold off for an SE later on. 976-Evil Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund's directorial debut finally shows up on DVD. I love this film, even though it's hated by a lot of people. Part of the reason could be that the VHS version had cut footage re-edited into the film without the permission of Englund. This DVD version is 13 minutes shorter, and benefits from the removed footage. The DVD is weak, presented in full frame and only features a few trailers, but I like the film enough that I bought it anyway. 'Till next week.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 I've never seen the original 976-EVIL, however I did see it's sequel (which made little to no sense to me), so I may pick that up down the line. Still waiting for the Sleepaway Camp Survival Kit though...
Guest Lethargic Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Jackie Chan's Accidental Spy comes out tomorrow too. I thought that movie kicked ass.

Guest razazteca Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Patrick Dempsey movies are all bad in general, unless it has one of those "Before they were stars" appeal to it. Hmmmm buy a telescope or a girl? what to do?
