Guest ShooterJay Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 So this week, we've got three new debuts. Kid Kash I know from ECW, a high flier who's spots aren't too varied (but he does them VERY well) with a killer finisher (Money Maker: Sit-out Tiger Driver '91) But I don't know Shark Boy, except from the MTV special. I never saw any WCWSNs he was on, nor the WWA PPV he appeared on. I did read SK's recap of the match he was in from the WWA PPV, and he appeared to be the weak link. Is he all gimmick, or does he have some skills? Slim J is someone I also have no clue about, I'd rather they have gotten Jimmy Rave (the NWA World Jr. Champ and from what I've heard another Wildside regular) for this match. His gimmick, from what I've heard, is "skinny white boy rapper" which doesn't exactly excite me. Can any Wildside fans fill me in?
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Well I'm biast given that I have an unexplainable Shark Boy fixation, but he's great. One match against Psicosis in WCW had me marking out hugely whenever SHARK BOY got a 2 count. Then again, I am odd. But he is great.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I am also a huge Shark Mark. He got a pretty decent pop on the WWA show and did some really cool spots. I've been hoping he would be in the X Division since it started.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Slim J is frickin' awesome. Heard him and Red had an amazing match at the Wildside TV tapings a couple of Saturdays ago. He's better than Jimmy Rave, who uses decent, but not great, mat work to "get himself over as a shooter". The only guy in there who I think is as good is Red, which is scary, because Slim J is 17, I think Red's only 18, and the other guys are over the age of 21 (think the Maximos are, but not 100% sure).
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think Red's 20...because they said he was a 3 or 4-year pro, and I heard he started at the age of 16 or 17. Dammit, I'm 16, and I'm not THAT bad...why can't I even get booked for a shitty ECW wannabe indy, especially since I'd wrestle one of my jackass friends? What? Training?! Yeah...I need training...
Guest J*ingus Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Slim J looks about twelve years old and about ninety-eight pounds, and is an obvious Eminem tribute/ripoff/parody. Thing is, it works, because he's a damn good spotfest worker, and he's got great punkish charisma.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 Shark Boy was in ECW off and on, just one shot deals... I saw Taz kick his ass once. He didn't look bad.
