Law and Order

I have literaly ZERO doubt in my mind that Law and Order is the best show on television at the moment.

what are some of everyone's favorite episodes?

My favorite of all time is "Shadow" when Briscoe and Curtis find out an ADA is fixing cases.

Honorable mentions go to "Indifference" the one when the cop is left for dead because he's gay, I don't know the title but it was on TNT tonight. A woman was raped in prison by a guard and she had him killed. "Confession" When Greevey is murdered, and "Aftershock" Which was the unfortunate last appearance of Clair Kincaid.

I think I've only seen two episodes that made me change the channel for reasons other than I've seen it before.

Aftershock

Indifference is the one where the girl dies and it's my second favourite

The one that was filmed in my apartment building. :)

L&O is another show that should receive the DVD treatment.

was 'aftershock' the one with claire getting hit by a car that briscoe was driving? whatever became of that, & why didn't briscoe go to jail?

Cause Briscoe didn't kill her.

Claire was driving him home and Claire was killed by a drunk driver.

L-n-O is out on VHS BTW

Law And Order season 1 has been announced for DVD.

I thought Aftershock was painfully boring until the very end.

"Manhood" is the one with the gay cop that I was thinking of.

Aftershock is interesting because its a look at the way all four of them are when they're not on the job.

The only cast member I can't stand is Paul Sorvino's character.

Has anyone seen the Exhiled movie? I heard it was really good.

Aftershock I think on first viewing is kinda boring cause you're waiting for them to well get to the case.

But I got really into it and was in tears when Claire died cause I love Jill Hennessy.

I've never seen Exiled but I always liked Logan so its prob good

I don't know the names of any of the episodes. But I watch the show religiously. Pretty much every day on A&E, almost every day on TNT. It's one of the best damn shows on the air, and one of the best ever made.

Exhiled is okay, it's not great, but not bad either. It's weird cos it's just about Logan and all the rest of the cast basically do cameos. Plus it has a romantic sub plot too.

The only problem I have with what I've heard about the movie is that it took them THAT long to SOMWTHING with Profaci, all he ever did in the series was give hell, and make coffee and Donut runs.

L&O is goods, the spinoffs are lame

I think Special Victims Unit is, on the whole, pretty good, but I wouldn't be honest if I didn't admit that I think that the show suffers from the lack of the "Order" section to the program. Part of L&O's appeal is that we get to see what goes on with both sides of the justice system.

Criminan Intent annoys the piss out of me. None of the characters are likeable to me. I literally can't stand Donofrio & his partner on that damn show.

what do you guys think of 'crime and punishment: real life law & order'?

from what i've seen...it appears to be good television & entertaining, but it's horribly exploitative. if you want to teach ordinary people about how the legal system works, that's fine; but don't sweeten it up with incidental music and other drama-tv techniques to make it seem like a fictitious show, because that just cheapens the reality of it all.

and does anybody know what the deal with dick wolf is? has he done anything worthwhile other than 'law & order'? he seems like someone who knows a LOT about the legal system, but is ignorant of any other dramatic ideas or situations. it appears he had one great idea & is running it into the ground. is he a lawyer who happened to break into the tv industry, or what?

My fav episodes are the X-over with Homicide:Life in the streets.

I do like every single episode of L&O, I just hate sometimes when they change the detectives, every single change they screw me over, first they show me one or two episodes with the new guy and then they go back to show me how was killed or why is out, that pi$$ed me off.

BTW, I totally love Angie Harmon, i dunno why she is so unappreciated.

Moriarti was really good too, way much better than McCoy.

Im sorry if I mixed real names with fictional names.

99 bucks for season 1 is a ripoff.

I also think the proliferation of the NBC spinoffs and similar shows has ruined it a bit..

99 bucks? Wasn't the first season only like, half the regular number of episodes? I seem to think it was only like 12 or so episodes for season 1. Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, full season or not, they'd better be packing a lot of extras in that. 99 bucks is a bit much, especially since I'd rather pay that much for the Babylon 5 set coming out.

I think Angie Harmon was delightful.

And I prefer Waterston to Moriarty, but that's just me.

I've seen so many Law and Order episodes, I can't think of a favorite. I love them all tho. I've watched the older versions, and the newer - on NBC, TNN, TNT, and the USA Network.

I like McCoy better because he has no problems with taking a witness and humiliating them for the sake of making his case. As far as I know, all seasons (including season one) were 26 episodes, season one also has the pilot episode "Everyone's Favorite Bagman" which NBC aired as a regular episode either three or four.
