Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted August 13, 2002 The Rock vs Brock Lesnar HHH vs Shawn Micheals Chris Jericho vs Ric Flair Chris Benoit vs Rob Van Dam Test vs Undertaker Lance Storm/Christian vs Booker T/Golddust That's all the matches I've heard. Are there any other announced matches for SummerSlam?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted August 13, 2002 No officially announced matches yet, but they're building for Angle/Rey and Eddie/Edge. They'll probably have Noble/Kidman in there as well.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 13, 2002 Kurt Angle Vs. Rey Mysterio. Edge Vs. Eddie Guerrero. Those are just guesses, though.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted August 13, 2002 After tonight, I'm definately getting Summerslam.
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted August 13, 2002 Benoit v RVD alone is enough to get to be order Summerslam, and when you throw in Jericho/Flair, Storm/Christian vs BookerDust, maybe Edge/Eddie and Angle/Rey, then SS is definately a PPV i'm looking forward to, much more than most of the recent PPV's we've had. Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted August 13, 2002 This is almost like a WCW/NWO PPV, in that the Main Event is probably going to blow, but the undercard will rock ... sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?

Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted August 13, 2002 This is the "projected" card on 411 (1) WWE Undisputed Title Match The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar We all know who is going over here, and it sucks. But I think most of us have gotten over it somewhat. With Rocky's involvement, he might carry Brock to a halfway decent match. (2) WWE Intercontinental Title Match Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam Maybe this is the WWE's way of giving back to the Smarks after that main event. There is no one who doesn't want to see this match. Anything less than **** will be a dissapointment. I hope they get 20 minutes. (3) WWE Tag Team Titles Match Lance Storm & Christian vs. Booker T & Goldust The tag titles are finally getting a boost. The UnAmericans are getting more heel heat than I would have ever expected. The crowd is crazy for Booker and Goldust as well. The UnAmericans need to go over here, and be dickhead heels while doing it. This match actually does have the potential of being good, which is something we haven't seen in the tag division in quite a long time. Give them 15 minutes to build, and I'm sure Storm and Christian will work their asses off. (4) Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H There are no two ways about it: this match WILL suck. But most people will mark to see HBK in the ring again. It's just a cheap attempt at a higher buyrate. HHH needs to go over since he's actually an active wrestler. Hopefully they get no more than 10 minutes. (5) The Undertaker vs. Test This is also not shaping up to be very good. And since Test went over Taker on Raw, there's no way in hell he will get the win on the PPV. Hopefully these two only get 6 or 7 minutes. Maybe Kane can interfere to give Taker the win, thus not making Test look weak. (6) Ric Flair vs. Chris Jericho Flair's "announcement" that Jericho interrupted was obviously announcing his retirement. Jericho obviously needs the huge win here, but if it IS Flair's retirement match, they might let him win. So the end result is up in the air, but it will be a great match. Flair can still go and I'm sure he will here. I have a feeling we will see a long match with blood, and I'm looking forward to it. (7) Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge Yep, Edge will go over and Eddie will job again. But this should be a great match, atleast ***. They should get about 10-15 minutes, too. (8) Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle Mysterio will amaze us with his high flying stuff, and Angle will KICK HIS ASS Olympic style. This match will be great and they need atleast 12-15 minutes. Angle MUST go over, too. (9) WWE Cruiserweight Title Match Jamie Noble vs. Billy Kidman I say they make it into a 4 way elimination with Hurricane and Tajiri, but that's just me. Just to spice it up a little bit. They're letting this division die again On Heat: Bubba Dudley vs. Big Show D-Lo Brown vs. Raven Spike Dudley vs. Christopher Nowinski Trish vs. Molly Holly for the Women's title
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted August 13, 2002 How are they going to build up RVD vs. Benoit though? Are they going to have the guys cross brands??
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 13, 2002 They only do one match on Heat so I think the week before they blowoff some of the undercard feuds
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted August 13, 2002 Angle MUST go over, too. Why? Kurt def. Hulk Hogan by submission in June, then was in the Main Event for July. Mysterio has had two weeks of appearances and about four or five weeks of hype. If the guy doesn't cut the mustard in the eyes of the Marks, then stick a fork in him, he's done. Making Rey the loser here also kills his effectiveness as a shot in the arm for the Cruiser division, and basically just makes him Billy Kidman. Then again, you're one of these people with the Kurt-themed usernames, and you guys seem to think Kurt should go over at every oppertunity.
