WCW World Champions Tournament

Recommended Posts

Guest JaKyL25

Thank you everyone for voting, here are the Semifinals Results!

#1 Ric Flair vs. #4 Booker T

The Nature Boy shelves The Book, 15-4.

#2 Sting vs. #14 Bill Goldberg

Goldberg's streak ends at 3. Sting wins, 16-3.

__________________________________________________________

So it all comes down to these two.

Just like it always does.

January 11, 1991:

Ric Flair defeats Sting in (retro-actively, I believe) the first ever WCW World Title match.

September 4, 1995:

Ric Flair and Sting do battle on the Premiere edition of WCW Monday Nitro.

March 26, 2001:

Sting defeats Ric Flair in the final match to ever air on WCW Monday Nitro.

#1 Ric Flair vs. #2 Sting

It's the match that birthed WCW. It's the match that eulogized WCW as we knew it. It's the feud that lasted throughout the promotion's entire history.

And now, it's the match to determine who was the greatest WCW Champion of all-time.

Voting begins now, and will end at 6:05 Eastern this Saturday, in honor of WCW Saturday Night.

"To be fair to Flair, you have to say Flair is fair. Not being fair to Flair isn't fair because Flair is fair. Being fair is to say Flair is fair. So be fair to Flair because Flair is fair"-Bobby "The Brain" Heenan at WM8.

If the quote doesn't give it away, this does: Flair.

STING!

This isn't the NWA Title (Flairs WCW runs were less then grand compared to his 1980's runs with NWA belt.

Scorpion you're always outnumbered, but I'll go down with you and totally agree on STING. Flair's *WCW* title reigns where pretty un-spectacular.

I'll say Flair, simply because Sting's World Title reigns (not "International"), didn't do much to impress me. Although I was always a big fan of his.

Flair was such a great World Champion, and every time I picture him in his prime, I see either the NWA or WCW World Title draped on his shoulder. I'm going with Flair.

Um....Black Scorpion. That is the biggest black hole for a title reign this side of the FIGERPOKE OF DOOM~!!

According to Scott Keith Ric Flair hasn't been in his prime since around 1988. LOL

Flair's prime is 1989. If you are saying that Flair vs Steamboat isn't their prime, what the hell is wrong with you? Nothing after that was as good for either of them. Nothing before that was as good. Granted they been wrestling since 1977, so by 1989, they would be in a great groove.
