They're from Massachusetts, though, so I expect them to wear off pretty soon. Congratulations on the record contract, though. StrateJacket Flipp Audiovent 30 seconds to Mars Sinch Greenwheel Stone Sour - Haven't heard a damn thing from any of these bands. Judging by the band names, either punk/emo or nu-metal. Blindside - Heard a few songs on MusicChoice...didn't really like them... Epidemic - Haven't heard of them. TRUST Company - They remind me Linkin Park and Ill Nino for some reason...which is REALLY bad. 3rd Strike - Awful, awful, AWFUL fucking band. The fact that I suck at playing-by-ear and can tab out most of one of their songs (that one with the motorcycles, for some fucking reason, in the video) is bad. Reminds me of Staind: shitty, tarnished, awful, idiotic, NOT good, and dreadful.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I really like "Capricorn" from 30 Seconds To Mars, but I haven't heard any of their other stuff to determine whether it was a total fluke or not. TRUST Company, however, does remind me a lot of Linkin Park and the fact that they almost literally cut and pasted a riff from White Zombie into "Downfall" doesn't really help their musical legitimacy.

The other stuff, I dont THINK you can call it emo for one but I dont have a damn clue what emo really sounds like...I know the jist of it just not the sound. Flipp sounds like an 80's band to me lol

Better than hoobastank. 30 seconds to Mars - Second best cd I've heard this year. These guys are amazing. Stone Sour - Poor man's slipknot, not a good thing. TRUST Company - I really really dig these guys. 3rd Strike - Alright, but nothing to spectacular.

Stone Sour is the best band you listed. 3rd Strike is horrible... I hope their tour bus crashes... okay, so I don't wish that. But I don't like their music. Guest swan Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I say blah to them all unless Epidemic is the San Fran thrash band from the early 90's and I highly doubt it is. Trust Co. sounds like several other bands already out there. Did Stone Sour every release anything before since it is a pre-Slipknot band? I bet you could find something on the sunny side of Iowa.
