Guest -Cutthroat- Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I brought this up with Edwin a while ago about theme music for all of the JL shows, he liked the idea but after that nothing went on with the music. Sooo, um you get the idea. Music for the shows...
Guest ScorpionDanceofDeath Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 What you're trying to say, Cutthroat, is suggest theme music for the shows? Your post is somewhat vague.. at least to me.
Guest Insanityman Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I kinda like the idea for two songs for each show that you can describe playing after a return from a commercial break and everything... but it'd be a heck of a hard time to agree on two songs. I'd rather not get into it really.
Guest -Cutthroat- Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 We can let the CC look for it. I think if they like the idea they'll have a good idea of what they want.
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I doubt that very many people give a damn... but it sounds like a decent (read : unneccessary) idea.
Guest ScorpionDanceofDeath Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 How about an SJL theme song? It might get repetitive, but we wouldn't have to agree on three songs to use.. just one.
Guest TheBostonStrangler Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Actually, I'm a fan of this idea. It does make sense, as when you watch the WWE, you always hear "Across the Nation" or "Beautiful People" playing in the background. I can't speak for the rest of the people involved with CC, but I'd be interested in this.
Guest -Cutthroat- Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Ehh, in one way you're right but in another wanna' disagree, Kaze...
Guest Tod deKindes Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Edwin allowed you to talk to him? Wow.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 It's a cool idea. Post suggestions here if you guys are interested. Won't lose too much sleep over it, but if something strikes me or any other CC guy as grade-A choice, we'll make sweet love to it like a man-hippo to a lady-hippo.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 That's a very, very disturbing thought. Anyway, my vote goes to "Party Hard" by Andrew WK or "Hate Me Now" by Nas. Hard and fun. Rock. - Mike Van Siclen.
Guest DiabloIIFreak1010 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Um. ::Opens Kazaa:: "Pardon Me" - Incubus "Thoughtless" - Korn "Torn Apart" - Stabbing Westward "Temptation" - The Tea Party "The Energy" - AutoVent "Breathless" - Lifer "Burn It Black" - Injected "27" - Breaking Point "Drain You" - Nirvana That's about it
Guest crusen86 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I can't really see a point to it, as it will only equivilate to: ...and as INSERTSONGHERE by THISBAND plays, Crimson is back on the air. But eh, whatever. I would like to suggest Believe In Nothing by Nevermore though, as it's a vaguely appropriate song.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 *looks into Kazaa...* Lets see what we got.. "The Energy" by Audio Vent "Meaning Of Life" by Disturbed "Debonaire" by Dope "Get Away" by Earshot "Whole" "Payback" or "Only The Strong Survive" by Flaw "I Will Be Heard" or "Proven" by Hatebreed "Bare Naked" by Jennifer Love Hewitt....ooops... "Thoughtless" "Alone I Break" or "Struggle" by KoRn "Walk Away" by Mad At Gravity "Solitare Unraveling" by Mushroom Head "Inside" by Switched "Apossibly" by Apex Theory "Pitiful" by a band I cant remember I have more songs, I just dont feel like listing them.
Guest Insanityman Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Well if this idea is going to happen, I agree with Crusen though... I meant as well have it be a song I like. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" Nirvana ~Dude, it's Nirvana! "Territorial Pissings" Nirvana ~Dude, it's Nirvana! "Poision" Rancid ~It's nothing heavy, has a nice beat... has the mandatory yelling too. "Pardon Me" Incubus ~Not a top choice but it'd work.
Guest -Cutthroat- Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Keep in mind we need THREE songs and it would be nice if they were fitting for each show (i.e. Crimson-Rap, Metal-Rock and Roll, Wrath-Trance). Get what I'm saying. But thats jumt my opinion...
Guest Muzz Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 It'll turn out exactly how Crusen said, sure, it's a nice idea, but completely useless. Use metal is you go through with it though. Rap and Trance = (N)
Guest Insanityman Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I'd find it funny if we used Misfits "Static Age" for a song... Anyways, I'd say one metal, one grunge, one punk if anything.
Guest hhh6294 Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 ...why do we need music for the shows? Like Cru and Muz said, it's completely useless... I usually put in the SJL Blah theme song blasts out as it comes back onto the air, and that's good enough for me. but if you all feel that having a theme music is necessary, then... eih?
